Happy Christmas to you all. Latest health prob. is a very painful leg, have seen the GP yesterday and there is a low risk of DVT so watch and wait at the moment but obviously Hospital if it gets worse. Will try a large glass of something at my son's house shortly to medicate myself.0

I have ‘popped’ in to say Happy Christmas to you all. I hope that you all have an enjoyable and peaceful day.
My brother is on his way to pick me up and I will stay there for a few days, so am looking forward to that.
Thank you all for your good wishes, I really appreciate them.
I will try and do an update when I get back home, and hopefully will be able to start posting a bit in the New Year. Today isn't the day for a long update.
Have the best possible day you can everyone!
Cross post with the lovely Nelski.

Happy Christmas lovely people, I read every day, but have not been able to keep up with posting. Mother settled and happy in her Residential Home, so that's one worry less, but obvs was getting complacent as two more serious family health issues have reared their heads, all concerned will battle on nevertheless.
Hugs and spoons to all, special ones to Holly, taff, polly and TA and all those with family issues.
OH and I just back from visit to and short walk at local beauty spot, dear dog enjoyed an off lead walk and was no trouble to anyone. Damp and dismal here, but sun shone brightly on the bracken clad hills for a while, we stood and watched a buzzard soaring for ages and a flask of tea and stollen bites topped it off nicely. We will cook dinner for early evening and be totally lazy the rest of the day.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Afternoon dear friends. Just back from DD's (she dropped me off on her way to work - she wasn't happy at having to go in!) I unpacked my o/n bag and 3 big carrier bags of presents! Thoroughly spoiled as usual,. Enough candles and reed diffusers to last me all next year, a new floral scentsy burner, 2 pairs slippers, snuggly big scarf, my list goes on and on. Great excitement from the girls when we opened a joint present for us all from DD - tickets for Mamma Mia the musical .at the Alhambra
We were tracking Santa too GERS and by 1.00 a.m. when he seemed to be getting further away instead of nearer DD decided enough was enough and the girls were ushered up to bed. I was shattered but still couldn't sleep and tossed and turned all night. I was first up at 6.30 and it took forever for the girls to wake up after the late night. They got far too many presents as usual and were happy with most of them!
I am already feeling like a house side with all the rubbish I have been scoffing but what the heck!
Shortly I shall make the Tuna Pate to take to DDs tomorrow for one of the starters. Wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't make that. Tonight I am cooking Beef Bourgignon (?sp) overnight in the slow cooker. I know, not exactly Christmas Dinner fodder but this is by special request! Tomorrow morning the gammon and turkey crown to cook, a big jug of gravy to make, and that's my contribution accounted for. DD doing all the veg, desserts and veggie alternatives.
Needless to say I have had a few tearful moments over the couple of days at DDs and expect I will have a few more in the days to come. But no-one said Christmas would be an easy time for me to get through.
DS and his lady are calling up tonight when her mum and stepdad go home. I was invited to join them this afternoon but I wasn't comfy about meeting them for the first time over Christmas dinner whilst I am still up and down. I hope they understand.
Right people, I am off to make yet another coffee and eat even more rubbish then hopefully have a quick nap, so enjoy the rest of your day if you can and copious amounts of (((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
