  • Happy Christmas everyone! I arrived safely at my aunt's mid afternoon yesterday and we've caught up on a the wider family news and chewed the fat. Her grandson, his wife and two lovely children called in unexpectedly for a cup of tea and it was very nice to see them.

It's just the two of us for Christmas dinner today which to my delight is roast lamb. We were both just up for a pitstop and have returned to bed - for at least a couple of hours, my aunt said!

Update on grumpy (photobook) daughter, a brief but nice email saying simply Happy Christmas arrived, so in the circumstances I'm quite pleased with that and sent a longer message back.

Have had a beautiful couple of photos come in of the Christmas babe, heartmelting. Becoming Granny Midgie was the best Christmas present ever!

I hope you have the best Christmas Day possible, and send my very best wishes for you and your families. With special thoughts for all dealing with less than wonderful situations. Hugs. xxx

Morning all and happiest of happy seasonal thoughts to you all my virtual friends.

Enjoyed Christmas Eve thoroughly with a full on film fest including Grinch, Christmas carol, Mary Poppins and Miracle on 34th St ...I confess my voice was a bit croaky after all the Mary Poppins singing :o looking forward to seeing the new one in the new year. Had scallop mornay, cheese, stuffed jackets, sausage rolls some prosecco jelly sweets and a good few choccies to accompany. Perfect day :j

Today I am off to my besties for chrimbo dinner later on so will save myself for that I know its going to be big :D In the mean time ....well maybe a film I have a few left to go at :)

All packed and and ready for my early get away tomorrow not sure if I will have wifi so maybe awol for a week. Keep the place in order please and enjoy your New Years eve but no wild parties especially you nan and jackieo ....not till I get back anyway ;)

    Morning All

Happy Christmas to you all, I hope it's filled with peace, hope, happiness and chocolate.

We all went to a vegan chinese restaurant for dinner last night, despite my reservations it was really very nice - I really don't like tofu but this was quite different, looked like its meat equivalent. Stayed up to go to the Watchnight service at the local church which was very nice, met most of my neighbours there!

Anyway, more tea then not much today apart from cooking dinner for the hoards later, I don't stress about such things, they'll get fed some time!

    Take care. XX

Good morning - Christmas hugs all round - there's more than one each if you want them :)

The HT didn't wake until 7:30. As my sister said b***** h*** you've had your very own Christmas miracle :rotfl: We've just finished breakfast.

Last night we sat and watched Dumplin' together (on Netflix) - we enjoyed it and managed to fit in some popcorn too. Today will be a peaceful day with just the two of us.

If anyone is feeling like chatting later then Sarah Millican does #joinin on Twitter where anyone who fancies talking can come online and chat. There's usually plenty of people there - even being in a house with a crowd of people doesn't always stop you from feeling like some different company sometimes. I rarely feel lonely but it's good to have people to talk to once the HT has gone to bed if I choose to. Last year I spent an hour talking to a young lady with a new baby who felt that her Ma-in-law didn't approve of her parenting - and they had another 3 days in her in-laws house to get through at that point. We've stayed twitter friends.

Take care all of you and I wish you a peaceful and comfortable day :)
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs))))))))))to everyone this morning. Santa has been, we will open the presents later.

Merry Christmas to all of you. Thinking of those of you with issues this Christmas.

I am still on meds for my UTI, so got up and made a light breakfast which we have just eaten. Still in bed, we are eating tonight so no rush to get up.

SS managed a quick last night. It was freezing hard when he left, hope he got home o.k.

    Take care everyone, back tomorrow.
