I haven't looked in M&S but if Boots aren't doing 3for2 or that deal through the whol season, I doubt they will be the only retailer changing tact. These things are not usually well kept secrets amongst those in the know in companies so I expect there will be some similarity between Boots and other retailers.
Bet folks are already wondering if the annual Boots bumfight (aka sale) might also change....Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Happy Birthday Peppa!!lovin' this site!

Well now Halloween is over I was hoping to plough on with Christmas until I remembered its my DH’s Grandma’s 90th next week, my MiL's birthday after that, my dad’s 70th early December and my brothers birthday on Christmas Eve first! Need to get those sorted ASAP. As ever I’m popping on quickly so can’t remember if I’ve progressed any more with my Christmas shopping since the last time I wrote! I did have a quick scour on the radio and found that Heart Xmas is up and running today which I was very excited about, although I’m going to try to ration myself with listening to it so that I don’t peak too soon!
_party_ HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEPPA! _party_ I hope you’re having a lovely day!
LMG congrats on moving into your new home, I hope you settle in quickly and have identified where all of your Christmas decorations are going to go!
junior sorry to hear you’ve been back in hospital, make sure you take care of yourself. You can get newspaper re-prints from any year, e.g. the year your mum was born, not sure if she’d be interested in that?
Beshki my cousin is a massive environmentalist and has started using fabric and ribbon to wrap gifts, although depending on where you get it from that could get very expensive!
kerri welcome back! It’s good to hear from you. I’m so sorry to hear about your losses, it does sound like you’ve had a difficult year. I do hope you manage to get your insurance claim through soon, these things are always so stressful!0 -
Redredrobin - would this be any good?

5% off with code NewSubscriber5 according to HUKD.
Thanks for that I'm working with her tomorrow so hoping to get an idea of what she likes .
My village is having a Fayre early December and one lady has posted pics of beautiful tartan skirts matching headbands and tights so ive ordered one for my little niece for next Christmas , she gets loads of toys so I'm going down the clothing route with maybe a small toy .
Anyone after a mans advent Screwfix are doing one although its £39-99 code 439HH.0 -
Happy Birthday Peppa!
Thanks for the welcome back wishes folks. I swear the insurance company are just trying to test us to see if our claim is genuine, they're trying to get out of paying up based on a professionals opinion of 'unlikey x y a'...well winning the lotto is unlikely but many of us still play and people still win.
Ordered some batteries today for DN * 3 Xmas gifts (little lamps but all need batteries and I figured it would be better come Xmas day for me to have already put them in vs flustered parents trying to gather AAA batteries from various places). Ordered some Duracell Industrial ones online so hopefully they will be decent. Once they arrive I can wrap those 3 gifts.
Now we're in Nov I guess I should start the Xmas cards, it's my least fav job as I dislike my handwriting.
Redredrobin for secret Santa if you know nothing about her, I'd play it safe with something consumable, that said it seems to be a minefield these days between lacto, nut, gluten and anything else free. How about a little pamper bag, a hot choc sachet, a bath bomb or bubbles and some Xmas socks or a candle? At least you have a one in three / four chance of something she might like and the fact you've put it together means it looks like you've put some effort into it?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Happy Birthday Peppa :bdaycake:
Welcome back Kerri sorry to hear you've had such a tough year
LMG congrats on the house move let the xmas planning commence
JuniorJ sorry to hear you've been back in hospital I know its a fairly regular thing but it must still suck. Hope your doing ok
Craftmad a lot of retailers are not doing their usual offers this year boots has been doing 3 for 2 intermittently but has switch to offering shorter promo offers like the current 25% off. M&S are doing 20% or 25% off xmas gifts at the moment not sure if it all or selected gifts as only saw the signs in passing.
I'm sure you all know but nectar double up is back 13th-19th november. If you want to double up online it needs to be done by Nov 5th alternatively you can doing it via the app during the promo. I have enough point to get 2 of the games the boys have asked for if I double up so hoping they will be in stock as that's a huge saving.
Picked up some clothes for ds not the most exciting of xmas presents but they are more filler gifts- things he needs anyway that make his pile look bigger as I'm really struggling with ideas for him.
Got taz some nerf bits he's asked for from argos as they are doing 20% off nerf including already discounted items so saved a nice sum there.
disneystore are doing free delivery till Tues so I ordered a few small bits I was after that they don't have in store
Saw some xmas ads on TV/online todaythis year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk0 -
I've been out of this group for the past week or so, battling against a cold which has been fun. It's definitely that time of year again!
I feel I'm doing well on the present side of things, still lots to get but it's certainly underway. I want to double up my points (not that I have many!) but I'm just a few pence away from £5, so trying to get there before the 5th so I have £10 to spend. Thankfully I go to Sainsburys most days and can go there today I think... if anyone has the app, when you make a purchase it often comes up with a push notification giving you the chance to win extra points and I think I've got a few extra every time!
I'm going shopping with a friend this morning, so I'm about to make a little list of things to look out for to ensure I tick a few more things off my list. Have a great weekend all!0 -
Thank you for the birthday wishes MURIE, PRINCESSKITTY, KERRI and MANDCO. I had a lovely day. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
