Hugs Princess & MrsI, hope our virtual support is of use to you.
Mrs I, re your DGS & flat feet, I had to see GP recently due to extremely painful toe and was shocked to discover that my feet are going flat and causing toe to go underneath the next one, if I didn't wear sensible shoes all of the time, I would have something to blame, but no idea! However, he advised that I get orthopaedic insoles, bought some on Amazon and am really surprised at how I have benefitted from them, have had no pain, clearly generating enough lift for toes to be in correct place. I bought 1 full pair, but found them to be more of a hindrance, but would suggest him having a "1/2" pair to see if they are of help, think they were about £5.A smile costs little but creates much0 -
Belated birthday wishes to all those that have had birthdays so far this year. Sorry I have been absent health has been bad but am now recovering. I haven’t bought anything yet since January sales as I have been unable to go shopping.
Got a dilemma though my brother is moving in with his fianc! in the summer and she is not a nice person, she hates me and is very controlling. I really don’t want to start buying her gifts. I continue to buy for brother but am I being mean. I am disabled and she says some horrible things about me being ill. Do I buy a little joint gift for both of them or don’t bother just send a card?
Hope everyone is ok. Xx£2 savers club 2025 #2= £480 -
thanks Peppa, and GTQ, will look into orthopaedic insoles for him. We got him a new double size bed for his mums house yesterday, and we are hoping that will help his back problem. New baby came to see me yesterday, with mum and big sister, what a beauty, Big sis was soooo careful of/with her, told me 'put your arm under her neck it needs help' 3years old and a bossy boots already. Laughter too when she said 'when you have a baby, you don't have boobie-doobies to feed it, or will they just grow again'?0

nic2075 just wanted to send you a hug and if you ever need to talk your welcome to message me. I had a bit of a blip last month and found making a big list but then prioritising a top couple of doable things and hiding the big list until they were done then crossing them off and picking some more helped. It gave the comfort that everything was being dealt with and had a plan but wasn't too intimidating. And factor in some self care! Sometimes you just have to give into yourself, put a time on it and plan what you will do after, but just do what you want for a bit
Treasurequeen - If it was me, I'd buy for the brother like normal, then a token gift for her, I'm a huuuuge fan of 'kill with kindness'
.....
I found a whole treasure trove of reduced Christmas bits and bobs in house of fraser, but I've put myself on a no spend month this monthso it allll had to stay there. (I was in town for a meeting but needed a wee and knew they had loos haha!)
anything's possible if you've got enough nerve

Shopping is still in full flow lol I managed to get 2 different sets of the lego friends heart box's reduced down to £3 each in tesco this morning.... still £6/£7 on amazon so happy with those.
Also managed to get my dd3 (17yr old) the james charles palette when it came back into stock the other day, Just got to wait for the jefferree star blood sugar one to come back into stock now.
Just a few more lego sets for dd4, a few more bath bombs then i shall wait for her xmas list to appear and shes finished! even got her pj's and xmas day outfit all ready.
Have got alot for my dd2 and dd3 as well.... but nothing for my dd1 yet (she will be 23 this year and doesn't live at home so its hard) Can't believe how much i already have in my pressie cupboard already :O
I have got £100 in amazon vouchers already (from doing surveys and receipt apps) so that will go up. £20 added on to my tesco card so thats already at £50 towards food, and £20 on iceland card too. This christmas is going to be the most planned out christmas i've done in a long time lol Last year was a last minute rush due to various big buys that happened not long before xmas and i promised myself i wouldn't do that again... so we are in full xmas flow!Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Mrs. G, wow you are organised. Bet you've got cards and wrap all sorted too. Chez invis continues to be a lazar house, GDS back is still really bad, DDs cataracts are thickening and she has just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. DS2 is still deaf and the infection is preventing him from wearing his hearing aid. Dear friend who had appointment with back surgeon has to go back on Friday for a pre-op session, (they don't care how far you have to travel), and her uncles prostate cancer is back.
On the bright side, new baby is sooooo lovely and l am getting fair shares in her and her big sister.
Christmas wise? l bought a hurricane lamp reduced from £20 to £3.49 for fave cos, but it was so nice l have put it in my living room where it is making friends with a coffee table and a vase of spring flowers.
Hope everyone is well, and enjoyed the recent good weather. xx0 -
MSGIGGLEWICK I agree with MRSINVISIBLE, you’re definitely on a Christmas roll. Are you still Elfing this year? DGD is ten this year and DD2 wasn’t sure last Christmas if it was going to be the last one for Rosie Elf. Having said that one of DGD’s friends has been told by his mum that there isn’t a Father Christmas but it hasn’t stopped DGD believing. Mind you, I still believe
MRSINVIS you and yours certainly aren’t having an easy ride at the moment but so lovely that the new arrival is giving you something happy to focus on. DD2 is expecting our new DGS in July so I’m looking forward to some baby sniffing (love that baby smell) and squidging. DGD wasn’t over happy to start with (she’s had mum to herself for a long while now) but is looking forward to it now she’s got used to the idea.
TREASUREQUEEN I think PIXIE’s idea is a good one, that way you won’t upset your brother and can’t be accused of being off with her or singling her out but you don’t have to put so much effort (and cash) into it either.
I’ve been loving the milder weather and sunshine, it’s got me all fired up to continue the work in the garden. Having said that we’ve just had the flooring changed in three rooms and swapped all our internal doors for oak ones so it’s not been all about the garden! Nothing festive going on but I am putting money away each month to cover Christmas and the very many birthdays through the year - had six that we buy for already this year:eek:
Hope everyone is ok. xxIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Stumbles back in - the upside of the leftovers of Valentines is that there are a convenient load of gift bags reduced at Asda & by no means all are of the sentimental and pink stuff. Got five bottle bags at 10 pence each (they should cut down to accommodate smaller gifts) and a larger carrier (shoe box but not boot box sized) for 50 pence, so all squirrelled away.
msgigglewick, I am in awe.0 -
Peppapig i really thought last year was going to be our last year of elfing .... i did some bigger things than they would usually do but dd4 was all for it lol This year i will be doing alot of it differently though ... She likes to be challenged so i shall be making the elfs make her think instead of being silly lol ... maths puzzles, riddles etc and they won't do something new until she has solved what they leave ... this also means me having to get smarter than her LOL (she is being educated with the year above her in english and maths so its fun to try and keep her mind busy) Of course some elf things will just be silly. But this will be the start of something new i think.Totally debt free wohooo 2014

Thank you for your well wishes for my MIL. She’s got to have a major operation this month to remove her bladder so we’re gearing up to rally round both her and my FIL to help them through.
Happy belated birthday murie and junior!

mrsinvisible I’m glad your friend has now got some solutions, hopefully things will start improving for her. Lovely news about the baby! Sorry to hear about all the other ailments, it can’t be easy for everyone.
nic so sorry to hear you’ve been having some troubles. I remember that feeling well after I had Wiggle and developed PND, I found it really helped to talk about it to anyone I could. Work can affect your life so much as you spend a lot of your time there. As free suggested just do what you can for you, even if it’s something small like having a cuppa in peace, just be kind to yourself. When I get overwhelmed with stuff everywhere I literally start by looking at one item at a time, rather than the whole picture, I’ll pick it up and put it where it belongs or in the bin etc. You slowly start feeling like you’re making headway. Please talk to us anytime you feel like it, we’re all here for you. Sending you lots of hugs.
Treasurequeen oh dear your brothers fianc! sounds awful. I wouldn’t want to buy her a present but I understand that it’s better to avoid a rift, so perhaps just a token present for her or a joint present for them both.
msgigglewick wow it sounds like you are well on your way to being ready for Christmas!0
