Well, my shopping habits are erratic at the minute! Over the last 2 days I've spent:
£12.31 I. ALD1 (including a few more half price bits - I appear to have a problem!)
£1.24 in Tesc0 on reduced roast beef for sandwiches.
£6.30 in home bargains on toiletries/cleaning and dried pulses
£1.43 in Tesc0 (again) on milk and reduced baguettes.
Total of £21.28 bringing this week's spend to £31.62!
Hopefully nothing needed tomorrow!

Will add to signature once delivered.
Tesco shop ended up being £41.30 and a £2.45 spend at work.
Managed to get a good stock of tinned tomatoes, which had been missed at the end of the year so I got two four packs for 39p each. I also kept the ones on my Tesco shop, as I use them inoots of recipes.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I'm of the same opinion and do the same. If the alternative is slinging it then what is the harm in freezing it first to see what happens? Hoummus freezes well....
I was absolutely [STRIKE]gobsmacked[/STRIKE] amazed last week when my friend announced that she throws anything older that 3 months old out of her freezer. My winter supply of frozen rhubarb (from my garden) huddled into the corner of the freezer muttering to itself in shock! Ditto my home made courgette soup kits (one sliced onion, one sliced home grown courgette in each freezer bag - add one veg stock cube and one pint of water per bag) that were stashed in the icy depths during the summer and that are still OK!!!!
I'm amazed that people are that fussy about things they put things into the freezer... once it's in there it's fine until further notice as far as I'm concerned!
A bit late to the game, but I'm going to try and stick to the budget I had last year. Out of £1200 for the year I had a fiver change, so let's see if I can do that again. That makes £100 for January, and £16.25 spent already.Start mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

Cranky40, I'm pretty amazed too, I tend to keep things for years rather than months :rotfl: very low rate of stomach upsets in my house too (I know, don't push my luck!)0 -
Forgot to add vital wheat gluten flour that is on subscribe and save. Considering cancelling this as at £6.91 its no longer a cheap option.
Does anyone known of anything cheaper for a 1kg weight?GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July ££110.46/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month.
