£45 full price so £4.50 now (although they're still on at half price online) ;)

Thanks!! I thought it was on the higher end price scale as I know QVC sell it sometimes too. They looked nice subtle colours but I wouldn't use the mascara. Not much to it for £45, even if it is a decent make!!

I was in a store today, and to be honest I totally forgot to look.
  • I've done a right bargain! :T

I've spent £0.00 on the Boots sale. The reason? I've still got sets from 3 years ago in my airing cupboard waiting to be gifted to relatives/friends/acquaintances. Last year I over spent as I got caught up in the hype surrounding it and on the day. I overbought and struggled to fit them in my house. Many folk I know, know that the sets are from the sale. I know you shouldn't be un grateful but most of my family also shop in the sale too, so what I give my niece for her birthday my SIL will give me a similar boots gift back for my birthday etc.

Anyway this year I decided that I would not shower my family with boots sale gifts and use them myself. Also that I would save the £150+ towards my summer holiday.

So I'm £150 better off and that's my money saving deal :rotfl:

I'm not bashing anyone for shopping in the sale, its only good if you NEED it. I didn't :p

I'm also guilty of having stuff from the last 2/3 years still to be gifted too. Well done on staying away from it, I tried to restrain myself from the sale this year but failed yet again!! Most of what I get tends to be for myself though barr the odd bits as stocking fillers and bits to breakdown and put in Advent Calendars and crackers etc... I never spend anywhere near £150 either so I'd like to think I'm not that bad, haha

I find Boots revamp the packaging on their indulgent bathing ranges every couple of years or so. With this in mind I don't get too much for other people as I don't feel so good about gifting it as it's obvious that I've had it in a while or might even come across as an unwanted gift of my own.

Mine had a shelf full too and several boxes of wrapping paper which was unheard of in previous years. I did cave and buy a roll with flamingos on it for 30p yesterday with tags for 10p (I never have matching tags). Thought it would be a fun departure from the other rolls I have in my stock which are generally a bit more traditional in style.

The official line is to destroy them or donate them to a local charity shop, if certain things are applicable.

    But most will be destroyed.

That is shocking that most items will be destroyed.
