It sends a notification to both OH and I EVERYTIME we spend ANYTHING on our account... the Monzo app is such a snitch
We don't really use cash and I've stashed our CC away and taken the CC details off the usual suspect websites that we'd spend on ie @m@zon etc. It's a bit boring, but it's been a great deterrent!DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

yay - well done on the exams. onwards and upwards
I did put real time notifications on our joint account - but a couple of times I mentioned to OH that I knew she was coming home as I had seen her just pay at the supermarket and she took against it - felt it was too big brother. So we don't do that as I check every day anyway so I'm not that botheredI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Thanks, I was really pleased. It was quite tricky studying in amongst working and home schooling, so it does feel like a weight has lifted to know I don't have anything left to doDFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)

Not sure if I'm repeatinf myself, but t's cost the best part of £1k to get the 5 children set for school next month. They all needed everything as they haven't worn uniform since March and have all grown. 2 of them are transitioning schools too, necessitating a complete overhaul.
Secondary schools seem to rely on parents much more for books, my daughters A-level books have cost nearly £100. I checked ebay etc beforehand, but the specific ones she needed weren't available, so had to go for new. They also have to wear 'business like attire'.
I had £500 set aside, so was caught a bit short. Will be putting less in savings this month to cover the rest.DFD March 2025 (£35000 paid off)
