i kindly received a referral but i keep getting an error message. i phoned them and they said there was a problem and they were trying to sort it but suggested i apply direct to their site which i wont be doing.

i wonder if the referral email stops working after a period as it took me about a week to click on it. frustrating.

I think its just a problem with Selftrades website - if you telephone them or apply on a paper application from, the referral should go through as long as you quote your 'IAF number' which is unique to you.

Rather than the £12.50 a deal but with £85 back, I though one company had a £7.50 a deal??? Anyone??

Also, I PM'ed someone for a referal but never got a PM back. Anyone else fancy refering me and giving me £35 of it on top of my £50??

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm new to all this, so hope it works!

My father-in-law and my partner are wanting to purchase some shares, niether of them have done this before but my father in law has been watching the market, he's been into his building society and they were no help at all.

    Could anyone help please.

Not sure how much they want to invest - don't think it's much.

Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance.

    Hi K88aab,

A few people on here have suggested Selftrade.com for reades at £12.50. This works out good value if you sign up via a referral scheme where you and ther referrer get £50 each. Of course, if you're doing a lot of trades, you'd be better off with another company who offer a slightly lower fee per trade.

PS I'd be happy to be your referrer if you do want to join Selftrade, just personal message me with your name and email address.

I have found while sorting my paperwork out an old notice of appreciation from Scottish and Newcastle Brewries from 1987 for 77 shares at £ 2.30 per share
Can anyone tell me what to do with this and is it worth any money

    many thanks
