Day 11 tomorrow - left over kale and sausage pasta bake.
I'm finding this surprisingly easy, although I am missing the delicious filled rolls from the bakery near work!!!0 -
I'm in: I have 12 days in the office in January. - leftover roast chicken breast on granary bread for me so far, alternating with vintage cheddar. Include a piece of fruit: banana, grapes and I'm done. I'm encouraging a colleague to bring fruit at (least) to work, but its uphill and I feel a bit mean eating my sandwich at desk as we work through lunch.0

Haha, saw myself quoted on the weekly email so thought I should give an update!
I'm doing pretty well, well very well bringing in food to work. I've been trying veganuary (kinda) so it has made it easier to resist buying food and more important to meal prep. My back up food is some lovely vegan, organic soups. At £1.80 a pop they aren't as cheap as me making them, but still a fair wack cheaper then a work panini. £3 cheaper actually. That's my emergency food, but the rest has been homemade leftovers, or pulled from the fridge makeshift meals.
Snacks have reliably been fruit or nuts and I'm learning lots of snacks is good.
My downfall has been coffees, as this has been done a couple of times. Less then before though. Working outside in the cold makes my cravings for a treat high.
There have been no takeaways either, or eating out, so I have been better in general
Keep it up everyone!!19/12/14: Spent 10 years of savings!!

I've been doing this since January 2018
I've also been tracking my finances too, and I've been meticulous enough to try and record what I spend on lunch even if it's brought in from home. That means tracking things I buy from the supermarket that I designate for lunch. Sometimes it's harder to quantify (e.g. leftovers) but I've tried to budget about £25 a month for lunch purposes.
Last year I spent about £294 on this category, which is a nice saving over the £700-£800 a year I was spending the previous year on lunch etc out!
Will be following this thread with interest, my main annoyance with bringing in lunch from home is managing perishables, or having the same lunch 4 days in a row0
