The time has come for a new car, I have absolutely no idea what to get! My budget is around 25k, I am looking for something reasonably speedy and stylish without costing a fortune to run.
So far I've looked at the Mini Cooper S and the Merc C Class Coupe, both nice cars but is there anything else I should be considering?

Do you live in a city or up a farm track
Just you or 6 kids/2 dogs
Is your idea of 'speedy' 0-60 in 3s or 8s ?
The assembled masses need a bit more info - even the 2 you've suggested are pretty dissimilar0 -
Just me, female in her 40's! No dogs or children.
I do a mix of town and motorway driving, looking at around 200bhp, something which looks stylish and is reliable.
Preferably petrol manual.0 -
BMW M3. You will get a good one for that price.0

Evo 6 or M3, relatively cheap to run and insure.0

Cooper S is a good call. We've one and love it. £25K will get you a new one spec'd to your preference and a fair bit of change. 10% discounts easily available.0 -
I test drove a mini cooper s and loved it the only thing putting me off is the horror stories about their reliability.
Not tried any BMWs yet, think I'll have a look over the weekend, thanks.0
