Thanks for posting that Colsten. I was surprised when the 1.5 easy access ISA was not included in the original announcement and held out the hope that they would not change it until the bonus period is over. Seems another one bites the dust and now I have to hope I am not too late to get it moved to the virgin 1yr fix I opened last month0

I opened a Virgin fixed account last month too. It needed to be funded within 30 days. For me that is by 24throked said:Thanks for posting that Colsten. Thanks for the info. I've been opening their fixed ISAs in anticipation. Two went over the 14 day period, but not the last one, the issue 103 (still available), which is a 2 year ISA. I'm going to transfer my money between this one and the Virgin one.colsten said:More depressing news from Coventry

Is the post office 1.3% fixed 1yr now the next best available?0

Yes it is the same for me but they look to have 7 working days processing time on ISA transfers at the moment so do not know if that will fall foul of that rule or not. Plus it doesn't give you any room to manoeuvre if something goes wrong that virgin considers not thier fault, fingers crossed through..Frogletina said:

Looks like the best 1-year AER, yes. Personally, I wouldn't use the Post Office even if they paid double because they have a dreadful reputation, and I had endless trouble getting my money out of there myself.Futuristic said:Is the post office 1.3% fixed 1yr now the next best available?
Charter Savings Bank is the next best at 1.26%. I have no personal experience with them directly (only via HL Active Savings, and that's ok so far). Ford Money seems to be the next best at 1.25%, and I found them excellent.0 -
I have banked with Charter Savings Bank for several years now . A fixed Rate ISA recently came to an end. Their maturity instructions were very clear even telling you that if you saw a better rate on their website you could open that account in readiness for when the ISA matured. Phone calls too are promptly answered.colsten said:
