I disagree, though, it seems very morally right.
You seem to think that benefits should come with precious few conditions, very few workers would agree with you.
Are you working now, and if not why not? Have you had a proper job recently?
I ask as you seem to be fixating on moral and practical reasons why people should not have to try. I would be stunned if you had been in a good job for years, your posts scream out that you are virtually unemployable.
I hope that I am wrong, but I just can’t see how someone as relentlessly entitled and negative as you seem to be could stay in work.
I'm glad it wasn't just me who thought that. I lost the will to live in the end and stopped bothering to reply to her.0 -

DonnaJunkie is a man. He's well known on the discussion time board for not having worked for many years, if at all, and often provokes discussions about unemployment benefit which go the same way as this one has.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

What a load of nonsense. If you're spending anything less than an hour on an application, you aren't going to get the job.0 -

You think its morally right to expect people to work 365 days a year with no holidays or sickdays and be paid well under minimum wage. Ok.
I have never argued that people should not have to try.
I dont think i have been negative in this thread. Saying certain things are unfair and suggesting how to deal with them is not negative. Its just saying it as it is and trying to be helpful.0 -

Good for the recruiter, and better for the applicants who make the effort as the pool is smaller. In light of this topic also good for anyone counting their job search by hours spent!
Dont you get people flying through, filling it in poorly just to get it done so they can say they applied?0 -

Actually i stupidly get myself sucked in by benefit bashing trolls. Whatever a persons status may or may not be they have just as much a right to an opinion as anyone else. This thread is by someone asking for help and not asking to be called lazy because they struggle to fill 35 hours.0 -

I suppose those applications are easy enough to weed out. If the application form is online you could even set a system up to do it automatically.
We do accept CV plus covering letter but there are several hurdles to pass to sort out the timewasters before there is an invite to a full interview.0
