Candy, how awful for your mum, I hope she's recovering ok.
Tru, Ziggypup would love you - she thinks people who roll theirown cigarettes are making her special treats!
Olliebeak, I know how that feels - both Laura and Chris were very tall for their ages and skinny so that anything that fitted the waist was far too short. They stopped at 5'11 and 6'6 respectively.
Thinking of Holly, Poppy, taff, LW and Mr LW, CHS and anyone else facing challenging health problems. Also all the carers out there, usually fielding flack and getting on with it.
We had a lovely day yesterday. We went into Cambridge and had a wander round, for once it wasn't too mad busy and I bought the last of the presents. I also got a couple of bras and then came home and ordered 3 more - I don't usually have more than three at once because of the cost of them for my ample breasts but Steve encouraged me to go for it because they are discontinuing the style I find particularly comfy.
Anyway I now feel more festive and will crack on with the decorations especially as we have friends coming for drinks on Sunday. Hairdresser first today though.0 -
Good morning all
It feels very cold so I have put the heating on. The skies look like there could be snow soon .
This morning has been earmarked to colour my hair, it really needs a cut too but that will have to wait till after Xmas now.
I'm still "fighting" with Mr Fix It, he wants to put up more lights . I think there's more than enough already ! The trouble is that one of the xmas boxes hasn't been put away and it's still in the dining room, because we were sorting out the spare bed . So he keeps checking it to see what else he can put up around the house :rotfl:. It will be put away today !
This afternoon I shall go with DD and family to watch DGD in her Xmas concert, as it will be her the last one until year 6. It will be Christmas carols and songs and she told me they are also doing some in "deaf language " ( signing :rotfl:). I shall take plenty of tissues, as a carols / children combo always bring a lump to my throat.
Tea tonight will be a stir fry as there are some mushrooms and peppers to use up from the fridge. I also have some pork steaks that I will cut into strips to add to the mix.
Speky TMI ! You are so naughtyand I thought you were a nice boy tut. tut .:rotfl:
AOD Well done on doing your carpet, now take it easy. I want to do the dining room one but I will do it after Xmas now. It will probably have a lot of food crumbs thrown over it Xmas day and Boxing day anyway, what with the DGC, my Dad and Jasper dog. Hmmmm it seems that a lot of things are being put on hold " till after Xmas " :rotfl:
Nelski I can send you some Prosecco and mince pies, will that sustain you ?
Thinking of Holly, Poppy and taff and anyone else who is poorly or undergoing treatment.
Right another coffee is the order of the day before I attack the birds nest on top of my head :rotfl:.
Hope everyone has a good day and I shall send the Sandman out again tonight, maybe he will need
Taffs hammer too !
Take care and hugs to all.

Speky she is a chocolate coloured WC spaniel, mad as a bag of frogs!
Poor old Scoobymare Mehefin but best for her in the long run, what’s Mrs M looking for ridden horse wise, we have a fair few up for sale around here ie East Anglia, not sure if that’s anywhere near your neck of the woods..0 -
Lainey You are along way from us unfortunately. Mrs M has seen something quite nice in the Worcester area which is only about 100 miles away. You would think you would find a suitable Welsh Cob in South Wales !!
Jury is out on Scoobymare at the moment. Farrier coming to have a delve on Monday so we will see after that.

TA, I've pm'd you, but I don't think I've been much help.
I think quite a few of us on here are veterans of not sleeping - if there isn't such a thing I've now invented it.0 -

Afternoon all
Thanks for all your kind wishes for Mum.She is fine thankfully, but has only got her courtesy car today, after a massive mix up ! Good job she's a tough old bird
I'm still feeling poop, with sore throat n chest, but luckily my voice has come back. The Furnutters are gutted, cos I can tell them off again now :rotfl: They were murder yesterday , getting up to allsorts :rotfl:
My friend swears by melatonin pills to regulate her sleep, so they might be worth a try, for anyone struggling at the mo
Still haven't trimmed up for Xmas, not feeling it this year at all .The DGKDs are away over Xmas, so it won't be the same .It's all about kids imo
Have been invited out to meet my Bro's newish gf tomorrow night .Hope I'm well enough to go
Anyway , huggles to all the poorlies n peed offs today :A xx"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

CANDYGIRL pleased your mum hasn't suffered any after effects, Hope you soon pick up a bit too. Will have a read up on Melatonin so thanks for that info.
I haven't trimmed up properly either. Just a few token gestures towards Christmas with a couple of festive burners and illuminated displays, cos I promised the DGDs I would. But the tree is back in it's box upstairs after I had the meltdown over the elusive long extension lead the other day. I was talking to a neighbour who said she hasn't put a tree up since her DH died just before Christmas many years ago. Whether I ever will again time will tell.
I got my Aldi shopping done in record time this morning and was back home again by 9.45. This despite Aldi making it difficult by moving mundane items to make room for more Xmas stuff! Bah. Store cupboard well and truly stocked with basics for many weeks ahead. I will just need to do a small shop next week for fruit, veg and dairy hopefully avoiding the hordes with their trolleys piled sky high.
Have a good evening folks if you can xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Afternoon.
Good news candygirl.
My drive down was clear, the northbound road closure was gone, along with my southbound delays. I was hardly through the door when my chores started! Then I noticed that DM's radiators were cold, she'd moved the remote control too far away from the boiler so they couldn't communicate. It's now back in the hall. Now the house is cosy again.
My plans have changed...again. There's some serious snow forecast for Saturday morning onwards so I'm going to charge round tomorrow and then head home. Can't be doing stuck here.
I've one last chore tonight, collect a parcel from a neighbour. He's a trainee teacher so won't be home yet.
Happy evening to all.0 -
TA , Zeus my 9 month old Furnutter, would definitely hump the tree, n nick all the baubles .He's already nicked baby Jesus , out of the crib box, n buried it in the garden :rotfl:
He's literally a whizzing ball of testosterone at the mo, so I booked in for the snip next month "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
