TBH it cost you 25p a day. Seems a reasonable sum

Cost me 25.43p an hour just to watch it if you read my full post!
  • Bracket was extra! You didn't read that bit either...

    :silenced:

No, I skim read. I don't like long posts like that but at least you added paragraphs, most people don't bother!

You watched one hour per day. Therefore it was 25p per day.

No need to get aggressive. You're not paying me to read your 'full post'.

But any advice I may have provided, I now wont. Good day.
  • Not going to get into any tit-for-tat about being aggressive for using exclamation marks etc.

I came here for advice and thanks to everyone that has offered me genuine help! :T

    Quote from above:

Basically, I have had approximately just under 19 months of usage at 1hr a day equalling approximately a total of 570 hours of usage. (I have not deducted any days it was not used i.e. for holidays etc)

This equates to: for every hour I have used this TV set it cost me 25.43p
But really the point is should a TV set only last 570 hours of usage (just 24 days full operating time...?) especially when you read: an LED TV's life is estimated to be between 60,000 to 100,000 hours

My other two main Led TV's are still going strong after 5 & 10 years

Then there is a fault, but as said, it is up to you to prove it is a fault and not caused by the user ie you didnt pour a can of coke down the back of it.

And the outcome is the same whether it was on for 24 hours a day or you used it for 5 minutes over that time.

With all due respect, what your other TVs are doing is of no relevance, you think there is a fault with this set, then the onus is on you to prove it
  • Just received a quote From local repairer to repair in a morning for £18. Thanks to those that offered genuine help...;)

OP you also have to bear in mind one .
You pay circa £60 for the report . It may go against you .
You find the report agrees with you and the vendor offers you a pro rata refund on a 19 month old £145 TV of £70.

Sounds very cheap, are you sure that's not a non refundable deposit on a repair quotation?
