Bizzare Cex

Irritating, yes. Traumatic, no.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I was very happy with my purchase. It worked well for about a month and then suddenly I couldn't turn it on. Tried the usual (removing the battery etc.) but it was absolutely dead.
It was bought in the third week of September.
I paid by debit card the sum of £115 and it is guaranteed for 3 years.
I can't reject it as they tell me I was selling it and not buying it.0 -
QUOTEPossibly need to contact head office - not sure how the camera systems are monitored / stored etc (I dont work there, i just shop there).
Have contacted head office.
I really need to replace the laptop. Can u recommend somewhere better than Cex?0 -
I find it traumatic when I go to a high street shop, expecting to be treated like a valuable customer...
I would suggest that you either lower your expectations if you're going to continue shopping at the likes of Cex or change your shopping habits to use retailers with a generally good reputation such as John Lewis and Richer Sounds.0 -
Not sure this is really the platform to be discussing Bizarre Cex. Keep that to yourself.
Agree with DoaM. Not clear now exactly whats happening. Are you buying or selling?0 -
Hang on ... what? If you bought something from Cex how could you be selling it?
As I said a week ago:Moneyinepitude_on_13/12/18/ wrote:there appears to be some confusion by the shop over whether it was presented for sale or as a return.
What it appears to come down to is the customer's word against that of the shop..0 -
So, as I've made it plain that I bought the item and wanted it repaired, are you suggesting that Cex is using the confusion as a way to avoid its contractual obligations?0
-
I disagree: everybody needs to know what they can expect from Cex0
-
Obviously I will never buy anything from Cex again, but I would find it useful if someone could suggest a better option for used laptops.0
