There is no need to repeat the question 3 times. I'm sure if someone can provide a description and are happy to then they would be alerted to the 1st post and respond accordingly:)0 -
For anyone else on this thread -
I've not seen 'Ben davies' personally but my estate agent mentioned thathat they were surprised when he turned up for the keys as he was very very young!
Now when I spoke to 'ben' on the phone, he was very posh and spoke very well.
He did not seem to be a young person if I were to hazard a guess. I may be wrong.
I believe the person that collected the keys and has been in my home certainly isn't Ben davies.
Again. I may be wrong.0 -
Also, I did recieve my survey. Three weeks late.
I also had £600 stolen from my account a month after I paid for the original survey.
If anyone out there has actually recieved a survey from this conman/conmen then I would be very skeptical of its accuracy.
There are blaring errors in my survey.
For example -
Describing the condition of the felt flat roof when in fact it's clearly made of fibreglass.
Claiming the roof and chimney were in need of extensive repair ASAP. I've since had two reputable building firms to access and both say the roof and chimney stack are in tip top condition.
It's just very strange.
I'm not surprised if he's actually read this thread.
I've noticed the hunter and mason website has since been taken down also.0 -
You are buying a 17th century cottage and decided to go with a company who will allocate you a surveyor. Irrespective of the fact you have been fleeced, even if they had turned up it would still have been a terrible plan.0

Not that its any comfort to anyone else, but I reported this to my bank, who immediately put me through to the fraud team. I had to send every bit of detail I had.
It took over a month, but I got all my money back.
Cant believe I got scammed as I am usually pretty cautious, on this occasion I slipped up but got lucky!
Lesson learned!0 -
This person is on trustpilot loads of people out of pocket0
