Morning all. Not much today, have to go to the hospital twice today, once so I can be injected and then I can bite spiders and turn them into men, and once to see the aneasthetist. So that's most of the day gone.
Then it'll be packing and cleaning and general getting readying...Might not be posting for a bit, but probably will be reading...
Congratulations Wee Midgie! Hester the general consensus on the hose selling board is that if it's priced too high, it won't attract any viewings anyway, so you at least know yours isn'tHas your tenant gone already? Speky, I might be inclined to send them a text saying something like you've been really busy with house move and new job, haven't had time to get gifts etc, but have something smalll for the baby and will make a slap up meal for them, hope that's ok etc etc.
A good smack with the sleep stick for all f you not doing any...Wotcha Poppy, Nanny, holly..

Just a quick post as I'm exhausted after another poor night.
Congratulations WeeMidgie, lovely news.
Speky, I agree with the suggestions of getting something for the baby, that would be what I'd do. As new parents, they will probably be totally focused on their little one and won't mind not receiving presents themselves.
Sending love to those of us who are unwell, sad or worried.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning all from Mehefinland
Just been lurking and reading but hadn't anything much of interest to say. How unusual I hear the chorus lol.
Had tree surgeons here yesterday to attack some leylandii that had grown far too big. Thy also took out some dead wood from a big pine we inherited, and removed a yellow tree of unknown origin which had outgrown its strength. The garden looks mahoosive now and I have a whole stack of large logs to cut up for the wood burner for next year. Cost a bloomin fortune though, but Mrs M said it was too big a job for me to do on my own. Have to admit in hindsight she was right. Very impressed with the blokes electric cordless chainsaw though so googled and nearly fainted at the price!!!
Mares are ok at moment but Sally labs sight is failing day by day. She came to use with 2 cataracts ( which the rescue home didn't tell us about) which explains some of her behavioural problems with other dogs. At least she is a happy dog at home.
Hugs and Spoons to those in need.

Good morning one & all
I woke up, bathroom visit then got dressed rather than going back to bed :rotfl: Now sitting with my first mug of tea & reading your posts.
Nothing planned - although I do have a bag to drop off at CS, a menu plan to write & various other bits to do - unfortunately I am in a CBA’d mood
Thanks for starting us off bellabella.
dumpling, sorry about the family tension - the Christmas period can be fraughtMaybe your local pharmacy can help with pain relief for Lilly.
camelot, hope work isn’t too manic today.
Congratulations on the new arrival WeeMidgie :T Lovely that both mum & baby are doing well.
nmlc, sensible attitude to take re fat clubHope today is a less manic day on the work front
Tru, I am still singing along :rotfl: We are lucky if the postman turns up by 1:00 p.m. I still remember the days when we used to get a morning AND an afternoon delivery - not that I am an old f*rt or anything :rotfl:
TA, you continue to amaze me, you are so strong. Hope you have a lovely time with your friend today.
redruby, I am surprised they didn’t give you a bigger carDH looked into renting a car for a couple of days over Christmas & even the smallest one was exorbitantly priced but more likely to be hired than a large car which was astronomically priced
ScarletRibbons, address labels eh, what a nice DH :T. I had to hand write mine
Gers, I am sure there is nothing urgentso the huge amount of stuff can be happily ignored :rotfl:
Lainey, glad you are feeling a bit better
Speky, a sign of getting older :rotfl: two day hangovers :rotfl: Obviously you weren’t too drunk - getting a young lady’s phone number :T I assume the additional spend wasn’t quite as bad as you feared, more like an investment in your new lifeI am with Hester on the idea of a small hamper for your friends & maybe babysitting for a couple of hours so they can have a bit of time for shopping or a drink out away from the littl’un
You sound like a capable young man
Hester, people do take the michael don’t they! Stay strong, it is early days - just sorry that CHS isn’t on board - yet
Healing vibes & gentle (((HUGS))) to Holly, Polly, taff & all our other poorlies & carers of poorlies.

Morning
Quick one from me posting from Morries cafe. Feel I need a rant.
A few weeks ago mum asked me to to get her a new phone as she didnt like the current one (its a good quality BT one she has had for years but who am i to question) Anyway i got her a Doro phone for older people and this morning went early to show her how to use it.well long story short not only did she decide she couldn't learn the 2 buttons she needed to press to ring her contacts but that she had also moaned to brother who had sent her a new one as well. so now we have 3 phones and she has decided she likes the old one the best :mad::mad:
Mrs innocent denies saying anything to either of us  Phone anyone...brand new one dozy owner?
Phew thats better now on to the rest of the day....I cant wait.
Congratulations wee granny
Bellaon the sleep. Defo wont be ironing today in fact I now have my wardrobe pretty much sorted so that nothing even work stuff needs ironing.....its the future:D
Back later in a better mood as the day will be over0 -
Afternoon all,
Congratulations wee Midges, glad all well.
Windy here today, have clementines on hob in preparation for a Novella Clementine cake, not made it in ages, will serve it with cream.......DSILs mother and sister are coming for couple of days to see DGD7 as she is here for Christmas.......DSIL is cooking main meal.
I think that I have finished my shopping.......just for 9 grandchildren, 2 grandnephews........then of course there are DDs 1 ànd 2, who were inconsiderate enough to be born on 23rd and 22nd respectively! Have paid for a concert ticket for DD2 and DD1 wants a voucher so easy peasy!
Love, hugs and positive vibes to allWeight 08 February 86kg0 -
Hi I'm ba-ack ! Oi ! stop groaning at the back !:rotfl:
I've just got back from Dad's and I'm relishing some peace and quiet. Dad had Br*xit on the TV in every room that I have been cleaning and ranting away . I could even hear him over the hoover. Anyways his house is done till after Xmas.
This afternoon I need to sort out the spare bedroom as the new bed is almost ready :j.
Tea tonight will be sausage and chips, but I'll have fish as Dad made me a sausage sandwich for lunch. (He either makes sausage or bacon sandwiches when I clean.)
Speky I agree with the others on getting a small present for the child or a tin of sweets and a bottle of wine for your friends. I'm sure they will understand that you have had a drain on your finances lately if you explain the situation.
Nelski Have several hugs and glasses of Prosecco my friend :A. Dad threw his phone across my coffee table when he couldn't switch it on, so we bought him a new one. He's now having trouble with that too, he has very little patience
Taff look after yourself lovely. Hope the hospital visits go as well as expected today.
Thinking of Poppy and Holly, take care both.
Mehefin hello. I wondered where you were. Hope you and your family, plus animals are ok.
I'm now going to unload the DW then start on the spare room. TTFN.
Sending healing vibes to the poorly people and generous hugs to anyone in need.
Take care

Afternoon all. I had a pleasant meet up with my friend this morning, much nattering and putting the world to rights went on over a couple of coffees and a mince pie. I then picked up the new Tivo box and they had been having me on! The size of a shoebox they said, Well they lied, it was the size of 2 shoeboxes and weighed a ton!
After lunch I thought I would put up the little fibre optic tree and a few festive ornaments, burners etc, The job stopped before it got started as I couldn't find the long extension lead to make the tree reach the nearest plug. I slumped and cried as if it was the end of the world and then thought, s*d it, it's only a tree I didn't want up in the first place so it went back in it's box and is going back on the landing. I have a couple of illuminated model village scenes plugged in and a few candle burners so that will have to do for this year.
Need to have a rummage in the freezer before I name my tea but it's so cold in that garage I keep putting it off. I think it will probably be fish and some hm wedges with a bit of salad.
Gosh 4.10 pm and already it's dark enough out there to shut the blinds. Oh how I hate winter and the long dark nights. I am looking forward to the last Mrs Wilson tonight, It's hard to believe it's a true story and incredible how he got away with it!
Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Hi again
Deep breath taken and back home now so happy bunny
Day did not get better.
I also have her new mobile phone here which I now realise she will never be able (or even try)to learn how to use so thats 10 quid a month on contract wasted. Wish I knew someone who would appreciate it. I have learned my lesson and will be ignoring all future whines about wanting something new its too costly
Anyway to cool my jets I stopped off in Sainsbury's on the way back and had a leisurely stroll round. Bought some mince pies and some dried apricots for a recipe i am attempting tomorrow. Loving having some cooking time so have a few ideas in mind for the next week or so.
The international supermarket was a great find yesterday with a few gems like a big pack of poppadoms to just chuck in the micro as required, a big bag of harissa for 69p and the elusive chinese pancakes. Wont be buying supermarket spices anymore for sure.
time for cheese and mince pies:D0
