Hi, I don't drive but I live close to Southend Airport
I check the prices of flights before choosing my sites and make sure they are accessible by public transport
I then book and pay once I've booked my holiday

If you do drive it's worth checking the ferry details on the Sun Holiday website, though one of the August dates isn't included in the Dover to Calais ferry deal

Thanks for your reply. I didn't know about the ferry deals, I'll have a look

For the local newspapers £10 holidays promo (ie. via Breakfree) the booking site was due to open from today 9/1/19 but it opened earlier on 8/1/19 at about 16:30pm. 6 code words were needed to enter and the last one was found/guessed and posted on other forums at about 22:40pm, 8/1/19. The booking site must of then got quickly flooded with users and it all soon began to freeze-up/crash (though some of us managed to book) and it seems they closed the site at about 23:15pm. There was even some hols available for during late August and autumn school closed breaks even though the pre-adverts suggested there wouldn't be any dates. The booking site re-opened again at about 01:30am, 9/1/19, and worked much better (probably many users had given up and gone to bed) but soon all the best/cheap deals got taken up - from your searches they like to offer you other dates/locations and also many prices much higher so it may be wise checking dates and prices directly or via different discount offers.
Let's see what fun in The Sun hols creates when opens this Sunday (or if opens early on the Saturday).

Yes, same for The Sun, opens very early morning of the day of booking and we stay up late hoping to get the last code and get in early Sunday morning
Also has a habit of freezing/ crashing due dates to the volume

I managed to get 3 of the 5 hols I needed from that promotion last night, the other two were considerably cheaper if you booked direct with the park. So be careful guy's. The newspaper deals are not necessarily the cheapest way to go.

Quick question, we used to need the reference number that we had in the post.

Is it just the codewords required now?
  • Hi,
Just a quick question, can you use the 10 codewords more than once to book two seperate holidays (different months) once booking site is open? Or i there a limit per household?
    Many thanks in advance

In recent years once you have entered the correct code words you don't need to type them in again to re-enter the booking site for further holidays.

Have any of you ever been able to book Comfort or Comfort Plus hols at Park Holiday UK Charlton Meres in Suffolk ?

I tried to book a £10 holiday there last night, via the Local Newspaper Promotion but all their booking site would offer me at any time of year is the most expensive Premium Plus accommodation. I'm hoping the cheaper options will be available via the Sun's promotion.
