Well that totally changes my mind, I've misjudged her, she's a good person after all just like she said.

Feel sorry for the neighbours who have to live next door to that.

Exactly - once a chav always a chav.

But it wasn't too far off though, was it? ;)

    Chav? Really?

    Why is that offensive?

Not that word perhaps, but I'm guessing you were being somewhat tongue in cheek with your assessment of personality type :D

    Lots of reasons.

Ask yourself, would you want to be called a chav?

Please tell me how being middle class is also a bad thing,

I don't think you need to worry too much about being middle class. You still have a long way to go yet :rotfl:

Hi so this isn't going to come across as the nicest thing as I haven't even met the neighbours yet but that's beside the point.

Basically when we purchased our new build home we had a choice of two houses, one with a garage which was next to 2 housing association homes and another which wasn't. Due to previous experiences we opted for the one without the garage but not next to the housing association homes.

We confirmed this with the sales rep and made our choice. Fast forward 2 years and no one had moved into it, until today when the housing association homes in the area started to become occupied including the one next door to us!

We feel that we have been miss-sold our house because of this, is this correct legally?

My response to the OP is this. In essence, buying a property is a classic example of caveat emptor - buyer beware. Your solicitor could/should have addressed your concerns with the seller as part of the search process. Trying to prove that you were misled by a sales person would be extremely difficult 2 years on.

I'm not a chav. It would be no different to someone calling me Asian, female or short. It would be factually incorrect.

It also wouldn't bother me if someone used a factually accurate derogatory term.

Probably because I couldn't care less what all but approx. 7 people actually thought. That's worldwide.
