Holidaysafe trump most for pre existing conditions

Options
Holidaysafe : I have used them for several years. My wife had a serious Op 2 years ago and although fine now most insurance companies will not cover her past condition recurring, except Holiday safe !..Our premium for a USA trip was £79..specialist insurers quoted £300 plus , most just would not include her condition and quoted us £100+, Holidaysafe accepted my slightly raised BP without a premium.

If you have pre existing medical conditions to declare I really recommend looking at Holidaysafe.
Over £2K made from bank switches and P2P incentives since 2016

So many negative reviews and your recommending them? Just hope you don't need to claim.

Seems thats when you find out whether the savings were worth it.

I don't think i would want to be in the USA covered by them going on the reviews i read recently.

    Fingers crossed eh.

    Absolutely.

OP - have you ever made a claim to this company?

I'd put "The Times article on Holidaysafe" into a Google search if I were you OP - & cancel the policy!

UNPROVEN (so far), but accusations of medical negligence, fraud, 5* reviews by staff & 'kickback' payments each time a particular recommendation link is used on a very well known website, though hopefully untrue & the result of inflammatory journalism (:money:), does not bode well for being safely insured.

'Cheap' isn't always 'best' - not when it comes to travel insurance.
Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.
  • Reading between the lines, the OP has never submitted a claim with Holidaysafe and is just waxing lyrical about the cost of his premium. Well, big deal. Hopefully, you will never have to submit a claim to these shysters because only then will you receive a dose of reality!

Its not only when you make a claim, but when you try to log a complaint about your dealings with insurance companies that you find out the truth.

To this end, avoid Post Office Travel Insurance ( riding on the Back of the post office name but actually run by another company, .Intana , trading as Collinson insurances services )
    Aggressively block complaints

    I quote

" Post Office Money has won the " Best travel insurance Provider"award at the British Travel awards2017

This Independent company awarded Post Office Money second place based on the number of votes received from the UK Public "

    This is a joke

Post Office claim " Post Office Money" are winners of the " 2017 silver British Travel awards ."
Who are apparently an independent company , BUT you are invited to vote for them and be entered in a competition....

    Avoid..

I would 100% recommend Post office travel insurance after having to deal with them In January, we won’t be using anyone else.

I have several pre existing conditions but have only ever had to claim once. My experience has encouraged me to keep using the same company, so sorry OP, I’m sticking with Free Spirit!

Luckily you didn't need to make a complaint .
I tried and they don't want to record complaints.
The claim itself was incredibly badly dealt with and the staff constantly changing over shifts in tbe middle of the day.

I wouldn't go with any company that needs to ' buy' reviews.

You should bring this to the attention of the FCA, the process of dealing and recording an Official Complaint is a key part of regulation.

The FCA will take it seriously if it's a common problem with them

I think I did try but eventually I just decided to forget it.
I never cashed tbe small chèque they sent me, with no explaination of what it was for.
I ran out of steam which is what I expect they hope will happen.
They did pay for my original expenses , but there was a delay while I was in need of help which formed a big part of my complaint.
