I feel like I've been away for ages when in fact I've been nowhere but just not posted since its all been a little dull in WHDFW land.

Looking forward to payday this month and clearing two of the cards - one of which will be closed as well!!!!! Our total debt will crash down to £17.5k when all the payments hit the accounts. Big big celebration then I think. Only £17.5k in debt LOL.................:rotfl: still scary though

I've been back MSing this week. Two yesterday and one on Saturday which will be good. I've got a bit more picky of late due to being charged for a couple of phone ones I did. Phoning the 0845 numbers which Sky charge for!! Not doing them anymore.

Nothing moving on the ebay front mainly because I've not listed. Shame on me I know. I got stuff piled up in the garage but just not got around to doing it. I must get moving on it next week before the Easter holidays.

MBis coming along quite nicely. I've got around £150 with bookies/exchanges and I've earnt about £130 via Quidco to date and another £35 via TCB. Quidco are due to pay out this month for our conservatory furniture £150 (still feel guilty) and there's still £130 tracking etc. All in all thats the £200 extra for this month.

Biggest problem I seem to have at present is our food budget. Those of you that know me know I like my budgets and sticking too them as much as I can but our £350 seems to be blown most months :o:o . I think I need to seriously analyse what/how we are food shopping and get it under control. I could increase the budget to £400 but thats coming from the debt fund. I need to spend time looking at what/how we are buying and given the time, the day I've had and that fact that my favourite prog The Apprentice is on shortly I'll leave the food budget for another day..

    hello!

17.5k! how well are you doing? what shall we all do for motivation when you've paid it all off? what will you do - with all the spare money, ?the mortgage?

re. the food budget. we don't have kids, so its different. but perhaps you could save and have a look at some of your receipts, and in the cold light of day (ie. out of the supermarket) you could see how much you could save if you took out some of the non-essentials. x

Thanks FiresideMaid - Goodness knows what we'll do when its gone?? Not slip back into old habits thats for sure. Definately aim for the mortgage since we consoldiated a few years back   so its larger than it should be.

Thanks for the tip ref the shopping. I am so going to have to sort this out because it stresses me out. Its our biggest expense and to be going over budget each month is not good. Its now on my list

    £17.5k :T Almost there!!

I am right there with you on the grocery budgets - it never seems to work out......April is going to be odd because of holidays etc, but as from May it HAS to be my primary focus because my student lodger money stops, and I normally use that for the food.

What a nice day. Payday today/tomorrow and OH's bonus has been received. Therefore with the regular payments and bonus a whacking £3767 has been paid off the debt today. What a feeling and well worth the wait. Signature has been updated accordingly.

Its so nice to be sub £20k and on the way down. I'm enjoying the feeling whilst its here. Back to reality tomorrow and continued debt busting.

Our debt figure now stands at £18k which is slightly more than I predicted yesterday but I've kept some of the bonus back to fund OH's summer sport. It was his bonus and this does seem fair.

No more bonus's coming our way though now for a while. The remaining £18k will be down to monthly payments and generating extra income. We are now eventually seeing the light at the end of the tunnel but we so don't want to be divert or slip back into our old ways....

Next target is zapping the Halifax Visa Card. By my reckoning this should be clear in June but sooner if I can have my way.

Thanks to all for all your continued support. I definately couldn't do it without this forum and you guys :T Here's to us all:beer:
