Thanks for all the comments.
I'm definately in the weight busting as well as the debt busting frame of mind now:D . My pile of non fitting clothes is a great motivator as well as an eyesore in the bedroom but if it helps.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
Spent a day sorting out the finances.
Brought the Spending diary upto date, I still can't believe I've kept it going so long. Moved a load of money around to bring everything upto date.
Last month was shocking in that we overspent on food, petrol and we are still carrying an outstanding overspend on the clothes budget from the children's school uniform.
Petrol is generally OK but food is always coming up short. I may need to think about uping the budget slightly after Christmas. One to ponder.
We are progressing our new mortgage. Not suprisingly are new mortgage payment will be £80 more than now so that needs to be factored in to what we pay off the debts from Jan onwards.
Managing on the weight busting front. Trying to kept focused on the big pile of clothes in my room that I can't fit into!!

Thanks Lucielle
They are which we are pleased about but I think we are entering a dangerous period now. why you may ask...well with my income increasing from next month and again in Janruary (not money for nothing but working extra hours) we will feel much better off. Therein lies the danger that get get careless/sloppy/relaxed and the debt starts creeping up again. I'm so determined not to let this happen and I am very aware of it so I'm sure we'll be OK.
Getting the mortgage sorted is my next hurdle to overcome. We should get an answer today on if we've been Ok'd for it. Once that is sorted I can relax a little.
I don't feel that I have achieved too much today but I do feel that I am in control of the finances again which is always a good feeling.
Plan for tonight - List some items on ebay, do a last few PC jobs, organise some school stuff (including paying for DD's x 2 school trips) and chill - LOL !!
Its no wonder I've been putting on weight being stuck in front of the PC all the time:rotfl:Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
well I finally managed to get a load of stuff listed on ebay :T Its only taken me weeks to do it. A few relisted stuff is ending today but I 'm not expecting it to sell:p
On the down side my OH presented me with the final bill for his car, another £200:eek: . This will now leave us short come Jan when both are car insurances are due.....OH seems to be hiding his head in the sand on this which is frustrating since it then becomes my issue to find the extra money.....em!!
DD confirmed that she has a place on school trip which will cost £220 and the money needs to be paid by mid Feb. £50 deposit has been paid but not budgetted for...therefore I need to find the extra £220 between now and the end of Jan....perhaps that is my motivation to sell a few more bits on ebay.Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
School trips are a nightmare. My DD1 is going skiing and we have to find £300 by Nov! Only got £80 so far.

They certainly are. Just when I think whohoo no nursery fees to pay another bill or two is thrown at me. DD has put in for the ski trip as well but thats not until 2010 so I've got a bit more time to save up.
The current trip is going to have to come out of the Debt busting money fund. Still its what we are working for I guess - :cool:Working Hard to be Debt Free - one day :A soonDFW Long Hauler 74; Mortgage overpayments MFiT-2 challenger 100Total Nov07 £36000, Sep10 £1623:o:)0 -
