You are probably right, but I cannot share your absolute confidence in the people who run things. Neither of us actually know.

Quite, anybody who has such confidence in the current UK government (which of course may not be the same one that we'll have in March 2019) has clearly not been paying attention to the shambles taking place over the last days/months/years.

I'm more confused how you can spend £3500 on two weeks in Tenerife!

Lol, me too. Maybe they meant 2 months. :D
    Thank you all who post.

Thank you everyone for your replies, yes it’s a package holiday, all from TUI and their platinum service (whatever that means)

It was a coworker who told me we might not be able to fly, in my head I know that the amount of tourism money lost for the countries really wouldn’t be worth it to not allow brits in. It’s just worrying that no one can give a definitive answer
See this guide from ABTA. https://www.abta.com/tips-and-advice/brexit-advice-for-travellers

Note the passport bit especially - it's possible your passport won't be valid even if has a year or more left on it - see the article for details.

But I wouldn't worry too much, by the looks of the current political shenanigans, we're headed for a very "soft" Brexit :)
  • To the question how can we spend £3500 on a 2 week holiday in Tenerife, easy, we are staying in a 5 star adults only hotel in a suite with all food and drink included. Easy to spend £1750 each when you take that into consideration!

We thought about going somewhere more exotic but it was twice the price and we’ve just bought a house so don’t have a tremendous amount of spare income!

More importantly, I hope you booked the honeymoon using your maiden name and not your (to be) married name. Getting a new passport issued at that time of the year would be a nightmare.

I am really struck by the disparity between these two statements!
