The Canary islands aren't part of the EU.
  • Really? I’ve never had to get a visa or anything! I also haven’t been abroad in 7 years (and I’m 23) so I can’t remember!
  • I’ve just checked, Tenerife is in the EU

Yes they are as they are part of Spain. They just have some different financial arrangements around tax etc. as part of their autonomous community status.

You don’t need (and I doubt you will need) a visa to Tenerife. Only downside is you can only bring 200 fags back from there

There’s a lot of scaremongering about. Things will continue, just will take some ironing out over time

TUI is a German company, they have airlines based in a number of EU and non EU countries so they will be flying irrespective of the outcome of the current shambles. Stop worrying about this, be more concerned that the wedding dress isn't delivered on time, the caterers drop the food or you might hate your new relatives (actually don't worry about these either!)

.... brexit could mean we wouldn’t be able fly ...

This is utterly laughable.... utterly utterly laughable.

Sorry, but there are some nutters out there, spreading really weird ideas.

We will NOT be trapped in the UK, unable to ever, ever leave....

The world will go on. Nothing will change. You might need to sign another form, maybe be issued with an "instant visa" on a plane you sign on your flight.....

People all around the world, from all sorts of countries, inside the EU and outside, fly every day on airplanes..... every hour, every day, every country. THEY MANAGE!

    *shakes head with disbelief*

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

It's got nothing to do with where they've got bases though, only what AOC they've got. TUI Airlines Ltd has a UK AOC. That is why Easyjet have set up Easyjet Austria, and transferred and re-registered 110 aircraft so have now got an Austrian AOC.

It's almost unthinkable that many flights would be cancelled, but given the current state of Brexit, if there is a Brexit, anything could happen  ;)

I've got flights booked for early May with Jet2.

We merrily booked our honeymoon back in August for June 2019, 2 weeks in Tenerife!

Hmmm. Why would a subject be interested i leaving this island after the end of March...?
