Just a brief update: I will call them tomorrow . Will let you know the outcome . Happy 2019:)0

Ok , gave reactive a call . They didn't realise that nobody turned up or called . Judging by the guy I spoke to, they use contractors and he said ' I will give the guy a call, or use another company .."
Doesn't fill me with confidence .
Now I Pay £17.56 monthly . From my previous threads about the unfortunate situation with my boiler , I thought it best to have some sort of boiler cover .
Looking at the terms and conditions , a powerflush is not included in the cover. TBH , I think that is what is needed .
I am thinking of calling them back and requesting a powerflush , and if they charge too much , use someone else for that .

Can you post a pic of the rads with "no bleed valve" as I have never heard or come across this in 15 yrs

Hi russ. Thanks for the request . Unfortunately , I don't know how to post pics on this site .
What I can tell you about the radiator : it's the long flat type . There is nowhere to put the rad key on the top corners . The only controls they have are temperature and valve. That's it . I'll do a google search and see if I can point to a site that does this type of radiator .

I've just been in the piston heads website, and saw someone with the exact same problem as me.
It turns out that I have to put the rad key behind the rad on the left side at the back of the radiator . Very confusing and annoying .
I'm gonna try this tomorrow , when the heating is off .
I did have an unfortunate incident when in my last flat I bleeded the kitchen rad . Trouble was, the water wouldn't stop gushing out . Long story :rotfl:0 -
I've just had a browse on google once more . As the rads are cold at the bottom , it seems that a powerflush is what I need . Apparently if the rads were old on top then bleeding may work .
Just wondering how much , and who to use ..0 -
I've decided to get my builder (who does plumbing also) to have a look at it. Not impressed with reactive .0

Yes, hidden bleeds are a pita!
Get "builder" to remove and flush with hose, will improve definitely given your description of cold spot.
Do you have a magnetic filter fitted to your system?

Update : mr builder / plumber came by .
He got a mallet and bashed the 2 troublesome rads and within a week they may work to their full potential again .
If that doesn't work , then I'll get 2 new rads which he will fit etc
In the meantime , I will email reactive and complain about their ( lack of) service and customer care .
I won't mention that mr. Builder / plumber has been .
For £17.56 per month ( policy I took out in June last year) , I am not impressed .0
