I also like the idea of starting something positive. I have been looking into a charity idea.
Check out volunteering with your nearest RDA stables. It gets you back into the horsey world, you meet nice people and really make a difference. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -

I want to make my 40's count. Don't have a clue what to do. Part of me also wants to make my parents proud. I hear stories of what their friends kids have achieved and then wonder what can they say about me?!
Please don't do stuff just to make your parents proud! Anymore snide comments and just reply "I blame my parents" or "well, I'm 50% genes 50% environment, so I'm a product of your own making!" Unless your adopted!
How about getting involved with Christmas shoeboxes or some sort charity work? A sponsored trek? Travel somewhere exciting? Or combine the both?
I'm feeling similar if that helps.0
