My spreadsheet tells me that I have 1,095 days left.
I haven't yet succumbed to the temptation to write a real time ticker, but no doubt I will at some point. Maybe as a screensaver.

I'm ashamed to say I have a phone app :p:o

How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

You have just inspired me to do the same.
757 days, though hopefully a nice VS scheme before then:)

As my spreadsheets are that up to date with every alternative, there is nothing to really update until payday and I can score off another months pension contribution.

Well, I've got 48 working days till I give up FT work and the number of stupid technical problems in my job is increasing while my tolerance of dealing with this kind of rubbish has plummeted. It's going to be a longgggg 10 weeks!

    I have -21 days. Retired on 30/4.
I really struggled in the last couple of months with motivation, but my countdown kept me sane.

It's possible that my employer might offer me 2 days a week for the short term when I finish FT, but at least then I'd have 5 days off a week rather than 2 :)

I think thats a really good option for most people - if it can be negociated.

Personally I'd love to do that as I approach my number. I have always worked as part of a team relatively social environments so I know I'd miss the connection and "banter" side of working. Not enought to keep me there when I don't have to be but I'd see dropping down to a couple of days a week as a really good progression to full retirement.
  • According to my countdown clock which one of my DC providers kindly give me as an option to my dashboard, I have
    1 year 177 days 15 hours 2 minutes and 40 seconds
    no make that 38..
    36
If you think in that time I have work holidays, weekends and public holidays
I count it as roughly 350 working days

    (although not counting at all)
