I understand your frustration, but the enforcements need to be in place as cars that don’t park in a noted car parking space block routes for fire engines to get to different points of the venue.
The venue doesn’t generate any income from this process and doesn’t have the facility to cancel tickets that have been issued correctly.

Then threaten to cancel your gym membership - telling them that parking is too expensive.
If more people did that I bet they would suddenly find that they could do something about it.0 -

As I said, sending a NTK out weeks after an alleged event cannot help an emergency vehicle. This is just preposterous.
As I also said, you should be cancelling your membership and telling them why. Make sure everyone you know, and other gym members understand the nature of the scam.
Show the gym manager the exact words our MPs have used about these unregulated scammers when you cancel.
''Rip-offs from car park Cowboys must stop''; unfair treatment; signage deliberately confusing to ensure a PCN is issued; ''years of abuse by rogue parking companies''; bloodsuckers; ''the current system of regulation is hopeless, like putting Dracula in charge of the blood-bank''; extortionate fines; rogue operators; ''sense of injustice''; unfair charges and notices; wilfully misleading; signage is a deliberate act to deceive or mislead; ''confusing signs are often deliberate, to trap innocent drivers''; unreasonable; a curse; harassing; operating in a disgusting way; appeals service is no guarantee of a fair hearing; loathed; outrageous scam; dodgy practice; outrageous abuse; unscrupulous practices; ''the British Parking Association is as much use as a multi-storey car park in the Gobi desert''; and finally, by way of unanimous conclusion: ''we need to crack down on these rogue companies. They are an absolute disgrace to this country. Ordinary motorists and ordinary residents should not have to put up with this''.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

They can cancel tickets as a friend had one cancelled by the EIS. They tried to fob them off too but I urged the victim who was a regular customer and put plenty of money into their coffers to firmly insist they had the PCN cancelled and keep pestering them until they did.
Though that was a failure to display a blue badge properly in a disabled bay case.
Obviously SIV are not keen on getting PCN's cancelled by VCS/Excel as although they don't take a cut of the £100 parking charge they stupidly agreed in their contract with VCS that if they request a PCN is cancelled SIV themselves have to cover the charge. So it will cost them money to get VCS to cancel, hence their reluctance.
Personally I would avoid any place where VCS/Excel or any other PPC scum operate. Take your custom elsewhere.0 -
Have you received a Notice to Keeper yet?
I wouldn't appeal on the MPC website. Wait for the NTK to come in the post before making your next move.
In the meantime keep on at the centre manager to get it cancelled. Explain that you are a regular customer of theirs, you put a lot of money their way and strongly object that they treat their customers like this.0 -
Yes i recieved the letter.
They keep saying they can only cancel it if it was a blue that may have fallen down etc. I have informed them that i will be cancelling my membership if they dont cancel to which they replied that its out of their hands.
One thing i know they are lying about is the signs being put up in summer. I never noticed them once until i got the ticket so i am 100% they are lying.
I have one day left to appeal...0 -
If they have a Facebook page ot their own website allows feedback out some really bad stuff on it and complain to your MP.
It is the will of Parliament that these scammers be put out of business. Hopefully that will take place in the near future. The Bill has passed through the HOC without hitch, and goes to the Lords soon. In the meantime involve your MP, the poor dears are buckling under the weight of complaints about these scammers. Read this one which I wrote earlier
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers.
Sir Greg Knight's Private Members Bill to curb the excesses, and perhaps close down, some of these companies passed its Third Reading in late November, and, with a fair wind, will become Law next year.
All three readings are available to watch on the internet, (some 6-7 hours), and published in Hansard. MPs have an extremely low opinion of the industry. Many are complaining that they are becoming overwhelmed by complaints from members of the public. Add to their burden, complain in the most robust terms about the scammers. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Why do so few understand the difference between 'your' and 'you're' these days?!
Bad schools, bad teachers, bad parenting, bad attitude.
If I were, (note the subjunctive), interviewing for a job, the illiterate creature who perpetrated such outrage would not make the short list, even if they had a Doctorate in Rocket Science from MISTYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
The manager said he is happy to discuss this with the MP.
Is it actually worth going through the appeal process?
I can see mine being rejected...0
