Hi,
I have read the newbies forum and I am going to appeal as per the instructions however I wanted to ask should i add all the relevant info on the appeal form or just use the template.
The myparkingcharge.co.uk website has images of my car and close ups.
However this car park is free for gym users and I am an active member. I have been parking here for over 5 years. Suddenly last few weeks they have got myparkingcharge to put signs up etc. Which i didnt see until i saw the window ticket. The rules are that you must only park in labelled bays and be a customer.
I parked on the side which isnt technically a bay however there are no signs saying do not park here. People have been parking there everyday for God knows how long. Also with it being dark I didnt see the signs only after the ticket i noticed them.
Should i add all this info to the appeal or just use the template?

You don't add anything to the appeal, but what have the gym said when you complained about their parking scammers underhand tactics?0

The company MPC put tickets on cars what aren’t parked in spaces or in disabled bays without a badge, SIV got the company in for health and safety reason through the fire services as they need a clear run to every part of the building in case there is a fire. The signs went up round the car park in the summer and Us as a company get no money from MPC when they issue tickets, I totally understand your frustrated with this but there is very little I can do with cancelling the ticket. You can appeal the ticket through MPC0

Health and safety reasons for employing a parking scammer? They are having a laugh.
How does sending a NTK to a motorist over four weeks after a vehicle was parked help when an emergency vehicle arrives?
What difference does it make to an emergency vehicle if a car is parked in a disabled bay? If it's in the way then the bay must be in the wrong place.
In addition, the BB scheme doesn't apply on private land.
The gym employed the scammers, so they are jointly responsible and should cancel.
If they don't, I would cancel my membership and be looking for another gym and make sure they know why.
You should complain again that a PCN has been issued, pointing out the comments by our MPs about these unregulated scammers from post 1 of the NEWBIES.
You should also complain to your MP.
You should edit your post to remove information about who did what. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
Take pics of the signs when you go back to complain/cancel your membership.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

MPC are not a private parking company - it is shorthand for the PCN scam that is operated by VCS/Excel. If the gym thinks it has a contract with someone called MPC it needs to read the contract.0

I think you are being overly understanding of the Gym's position. Responsible motorists, as would seem to be the case here, don't need to be landed with ludicrous parking charges by disreputable parking scammers in order to comply with Health & Safety concerns and this is no way to treat loyal customers.
Contesting parking charges can be easy but that's not always the case. It can be a mini-nightmare that many nonetheless successfully weather out of sheer indignation / financial necessity. The Gym need to know a good and sensible customer when they see one and make this charge go away, it's so simple for them to do.0 -
Why do so few understand the difference between 'your' and 'you're' these days?!The company MPC put tickets on cars what aren’t parked in spaces or in disabled bays without a badge, SIV got the company in for health and safety reason through the fire services as they need a clear run to every part of the building in case there is a fire. If that's the illiterate (embarrassing) response you got from the Gym, reply and point out that there is no company called MPC and anyway, SIV can cancel PCNs as the parking firm (VCS or Excel) are merely a contractor.
And state that the excuse given in the last reply is ludicrous and untrue, this is NOT about safety reasons. Fining drivers visiting the place doesn't create a 'clear run to every part of the building' for Fire Services, because the parking firm didn't mark out bay lines or in any way change the layout.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Does the \Gym have a Facebook page? If so, you know what to do.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

Yes why not but you need to show the MP the Gym's response AND point out all that is wrong with it (not just the bad grammar, the lies about it being for Fire reasons). The guy from gym isnt responding. I have contact with the MP. Should i get him to email them??PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
