One IN from my advent calendar yesterday:
The Body Shop Shea Hand Cream 30ml
And two UUs from this morning:
The Body Shop Peppermint Candy Cane Shower Gel 60ml WPNB as a full size. This was nice but the mint scent was too sickly for me.
Pureology Perfect 4 Platinum Shampoo 250ml WNBA. I didn't really enjoy this. Don't see why they charge so much for something quite basic.0 -
Two INs - first time I have purchased anything since October but I was in York on Sunday and got:
The Yorkshire Soap Co. 'Tea Tree and Eucalytus Leaf' Botanical Soap Bar which I plan to use as a face soap
and
The Yorkshire Soap Co. 'Happy in Harrogate' Body Bar for use in the shower/bath0 -
1 UU today:
Vaseline Intensive Limited Edition Hand Cream - WDBA, nice consistency and smells nice. Once my cosmetics mountain has disappeared I shall be sticking with this one.
Stash total is 118Less is the new more0 -
I'm still here but not actually using anything up, things are just going on forever but I do hope a couple of things will be gone soon, one of them being the dreaded Burts Bees handcream I've been using half my life.
Likewise :rotfl: No UU since early November, hopefully soon! Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
2 more UU this evening:
Ted Baker Pretty Pearl Body Wash - WNBA, very thin consistency, I had to use a lot of it at a time.
Ted Baker Pretty Pearl Body Souffl! - WMBA, it soaks in quite well but again I needed to use quite a lot of it at a time.
I’m really starting to see a difference to n my pile of stuff now. It been quite satisfying using up the half full stuff and finding out what works and what doesn’t. Also I’m able to see where I was wasting money before!

PP List :-
[STRIKE]Murad Blue Cleanser [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Murad Pink Cleanser [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Elemis Balancing Lime Blossom Cleanser [/STRIKE]
Ameka hair styling product mini spray
No 7 cuticle cream
Batiste Dry shampoo
[STRIKE]Mane and Tail shampoo [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Mane and Tail conditioner [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Elemis Sea Lavender and Samphire Scrub[/STRIKE]
Nivea eye makeup remover
Murad pink cleanser gone. I think this was the BHA/AHA one? Nice cleanser but I much prefer my Elemis and Lacura ones to repurchase this plus as it feels like an exfoliator I prefer LUSH Cup o Coffee for this. Would use if I acquired another freebie though.
Mane and Tail conditioner. As mentioned in my previous post about the shampoo, I'm taking a break from this. I actually used a Philosophy shower gel (Emma's) to wash my hair this morning so I could get the new shampoo and conditioner out simultaneously.
I think the Ameka hair product, Batiste and Nivea make up remover will all be finished by the time New Year arrives. I have neglected the nail and cuticle cream. Have neglected my hands generally. Tut tut xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

The day has finally come, I have the uu to end all uu
Burts Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream 55g - WNBA ever, this smells like marzipan which I love and my love for it ends there. It is sooooo greasy that there is never a good time to use it, it never seems to absorb so I am worried about getting greasy marks on furniture etc.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Heres my December PP list
[STRIKE]Burts Bees Almond Milk Hand Cream[/STRIKE] - carried over again:eek:
[STRIKE]L'oreal Ever Riche Shampoo[/STRIKE] - carried over
Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Amethyst - carried over
Benefit single pink champagne eyeshadow - carried over
[STRIKE]Hawaiian Tropic Lime Coolada Body Butter[/STRIKE]
Superdrug B Hydrating Eye Cream
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
[STRIKE]Philosophy Pumpkin Pie Shower Gel 480ml[/STRIKE]
My updated PP list, I think the remaining items will be carried over, there isn't much left of the caviar stick but you don't need much, I have hit major pan on the Benefit eyeshadow but since then it seems to look the same, the eyecream is almost done but I have no chance with the foundation for a while yet.
Finish 7 by Christmas
1. Max Factor All Day Flawless Foundation
2. Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Plum Russian
3. [STRIKE]Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer[/STRIKE]
4. Laura Mercier Brown Eyeliner
5. Soap & Glory Cheekmate
6. [STRIKE]Revlon Photo Finish Powder[/STRIKE] (dropped and shattered but was almost done anyway).
7. Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil
VALM - you have done way better with your items than me. The foundation is still half full, which is good as I love it, the lip crayon is very near the end but despite using numerous times a day it just won't finish, about another 3 years in the eyeliner it would seem. The Cheekmate will last forever, the tiniest dab is all you need for a very flushed look, the eyebrow pencil is almost done but won't be finished by Monday. FAIL.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I have graduated in fang paste with a Oral B Pro. WBA but prefer the Sensodyne I'm using now.
Enjoying the graduated feeling as it will be a very, very, very long time before I graduate in anything else.0 -

But at least you know how long items last. Projects like this have really helped me put things in perspective and I'm more mindful of buying new make up (although of course I don't mind Santa buying stuff!!) because of this. It's not a fail if you realise this and you do. Have a lovely Christmas when it comes. xxBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
