  • Hi Ya chums life has been getting in the way again so I have been missing a few things ,but hopefully I can catch up again

This morning I had two lovely young firemen in my house for an hour or so :) totally legit
They came to fit some new alarms, one in my bedroom that will flash as well as a vibrator to go under my pillow As I wear a hearing aid its apparently the latest thing to help you out.

So although a flashing light ,a vibrator and two hunky firemen in my bedroom sound a bit saucy :) it was above board (sadly :))

But it gets the neighbours curtains twitching at least :)

This afternoon I am off to History club which is always a lovely end to the week, as we do have such a good time and there is lots of HM cake and coffee and laughter.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon wrapping Christmas presents, and now having done my list I am down to only four more gifts to buy plus one birthday present.

I am out to dinner at my eldest DDs tomorrow as its her birthday on Sunday she will be 51 !!! bless her still my baby though along with her sister who will be 49 on the 19th.One of my DGS Ben will be 23 on the 16th its all birthdays in the run up to Christmas as my oldest friend in Dartford has her birthday on the 4th.

The end of the month today and another new one tomorrow this year has simply flown by.

Right time to have some lunch then off out for the afternoon <<hugs>> for the poorlies, and chin up for the sad amongst us

    Take care chums

SO - it’s so sad to read of your struggles. I really wish I could offer more than just words of sympathy. Can Social Services give you respite time?
    .

Can't really believe it but DH was discharged a few months ago. I have been told I have to monitor him and let them know of any significant changes.
I don't get any help, maybe I have to offer to pay.

Do you at least get Attendance Allowance? Blue badge? Perhaps it’s time to let them know of the changes. It’s awful that you are left to ‘manage’.

I only just realised I haven't posted this week at all - sorry. Anyways, just a quick wave to you all, and hope life isn't being too much of a PITA.

    Afternoon all
    Bit late today, apologies :o
The sun ( I think that's what it was ) was shining this morning so we decided to have an away day :j. First stop a large garden centre where normally they have some unusual Xmas goodies....... not this time sadly. We were very disappointed with their offerings and left empty handed, couldn't even get in the coffee shop as it was full . We decided to go to a chip shop restaurant for lunch instead, scampi for me and chicken pie for Mr Fix It mmmmmm muchess nicess . Went over the road into L*dl and got a few more items for the Xmas stash. Now there is no more frozen party food needed :j. I also bought a few jars of decaff coffee which were on offer and the usual milk, bread etc.
Tea tonight will be a snack, as we are both still stuffed from lunch :rotfl:
Nelski hope you sleep well again tonight
-taff thought you would appreciate the description as you seem to like DIY'ing. Hope that's correct.
Speky Get you in your kilt etc, bet you were the talk of the day :D. It's a shame that I shall have to put my hat back into storage......... for now :rotfl:
TA just put your feet up. Perhaps your DGD's should be called Margot, Darcey and Alicia ( Markova ).
Poppy sorry that your DS was knocked out. Take care of yourself.
Tru do the branches belong to next door ? If that's the case I'd be throwing them back over for them to dispose of. Sorry if I'm speaking out of turn.
Hester some people like to wait for the eviction letter in order to get rehoused. Perhaps moaning on Faceache just adds more weight to the plan.
OrganzaL and SilverOldie major hugs to you both.
Gers glad you are recovering now.
Holly thinking of you and hope you are as well as expected.
    Hi MrsSD and LameWolf :hello:

JackieO more firemen and a vibrator really, a likely story ;):D. Now I think that's twice in one month the firemen have been to your house ? Come on, what's your secret pray tell :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hope everyone has had a good Friday / St Andrews day.
    Take care all.
    nan xx

  • She won't get rehoused nanny windows, she is persona non grata with the local HA.

Oh dear Hester :(. We had someone like that living in a rented house next door to us ( not joined thank goodness.) Fake references and the idea was not to pay the rent after the first month by just to be evicted and rehoused but the council . Thankfully they were gone in about 6 months but they were the family from h*ll. Left their 2 children to fend for themselves, most nights while they went to the pub . We have lovely neighbours now, they are polite, helpful etc and with 4 children, which you very rarely hear except in the summer in the garden.
