No, a paypal address is not automatically confirmed. When you get the paypal payment log into your paypal account and look at the transaction. Near the foot of the page it will show the buyers address and beneath that it will say whether it is confirmed/inconfirmed, eligible/ineligible. Go by that info and that info alone.
Do I take it you haven't been paid yet then?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That's correct, I've not been paid yet.
I'll check for address being confirmed when/if I get the brothers account details.

Ok. I've not had any response of the buyer since they said they were having paypal problems. It is now only a few hours of 7 days of the auction ending.
So what should I do now and when?
Thanks

I haven't received payment. They contacted me sunday night after I'd sent them a message saying:
[FONT=arial,sans-serif]"Hi sorry for delay, I will be doing it tomorrow, thank you for your patience, many thanks"
I left it until today to give them the benefit of the doubt. I've only just got access to the internet so I've only justed checked and no payment. I think I now have to open a dispute? Is this correct?
Thanks

Interesting thread and lots of great advice from Soolin.
I'm not having a go OP, but I think its important to understand what you are doing on ebay BEFORE you list any item to sell, especially one of value.
Before you list anything again, make yourself a bit more familiar with ebay and understand Paypal a bit more.
I hope you get your money. Good luck.0 -
I've got a paypal payment pending.
After opening the dispute I received a message last night saying:
"Hi So Sorry for delay, I will sort it out tomorrow, Many Thanks"
I'm now waiting for the payment to clear in Paypal at least as it appears there maybe some type of problem with getting Ebay to show payments made.
When I get the confirmation I'll send it to the Paypal account holder address if it's confirmed.
If the address is not confirmed what should I do?
Thanks

Hi again.
I have received the payment but its in an old paypal account that I had forgotten about. I'd forgotten the password and decided to just open a new one.
In the auction I'd put my new paypal account in as I didn't realise that I had another one. Although the buyer has found it and used.
The problem is that it's unconfirmed. So I think I need to refuse the payment and ask them to either confirm their address or change the payment method?
Is this correct ?
How do buyers respondto this?
Thanks
