I'm following all of this from under this vase and hiding when you all get to the green stuff.

I'm certain I couldn't be fully vegan 100% of the time but I think the ability to make the plant milks, nut cheeses and creams and make nutritious meals from purely plant based ingredients makes a lot of sense to me as a prepper. I love cheese but if I couldn't get cheese for some reason or other to be able to make a 'look alike' using nutritional yeast would be better than going without. Thanks for the tip on the Oatley barista milk VJs I'll track some down and give it a try. I'm happy making porridge with just water and chucking in lots of fruit/a spoon of jam (naughty but NICE) or some fruit puree but tea just isn't tea without milk in!8

Oat milk might be quite easy but that's me imagining you just put water on it and leave it to steep. I'd be interested to knw if there's a yoghurt variant. Thanks to diet, eating a lot of overnight oats, which are dead easy to make in advance, even for the week, but I'd prefer them a bit slurrier than I can get with yoghurt [not using milk because points......]

I disappointed a milkman looking for new customers the other day, as I only ever have milk in for other people, and very rarely drink it (like maybe twice a year!).2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

As our recycling here is so poor, it's really important to me to get my milk in returnable/reusable bottles. And my yogurt comes in glass jars that are either reused or recycled. The milkman also provides tonic and lemons. Sadly not gin... (tonic bottles are currently being filled with elderflower cordial for my niece).11 -
Chris & Meg's milkman does glass bottles of fruit juice, glass jars of yogurt, spuds, eggs etc as well, but I love that you can get tonic & lemon delivered, and oat milk too. I probably need to try it, but maybe not if it's carb-heavy...2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)12 -
Weirdos. You can't tell how strong your tea is without a drop of milk. Not a massive drop, just a splashy drop. And then the spoon can stand up in the mug which must be oversized or capable of keeping it hot so when I forget about it I don't have to microwave it. And a pot with one early grey teabag and one yorkshire or glengette tea bag does a good job of strength versus taste. It's never worth doing a teapot for one though except after a fried breakfast.God I'm hungry.....Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12
