@Nargleblast - my recipe for Cheat's Pimms includes Orange Curacao. I'll have to look it up.
Dried hibiscus flowers are good for gin if you want something a bit different. Or blood orange. But it kind of depends on the gin... of which I have an extensive collection13 -

We've invested in a bread maker, I had one years ago and we didn't bother replacing it when it broke but DD2 had one for her birthday this year and we had some of the bread she makes when we picked up the grandson last week and it was very nice indeed. We got the same model and on Saturday I made a 2lb white loaf which is still perfectly good today, it's not gone stale or dry and is perfectly good to use and yesterday I made a wholemeal loaf which has also turned out very well. I can source good UK milled flour locally and it makes sense to ease reliance on shop bought foods and be a little more self reliant ourselves. I'm also going to learn how to make vegan plant milks, it's something I think would be very useful if we ever have a massive problem like the foot and mouth outbreak of a few years ago and also vegan cheese and cream etc. it will take some getting used to but I think it will be better for us and the planet if I can.8

With the borage, is there a lookalike plant? I have something that looks like people have described, but it certainly doesn't grow up to 4', and sadly it doesn't spread either. The bees like it, though, so I don't pull it out, even though I don't really know what it is.2023: the year I get to buy a car10

Was there an issue with obtaining milk, cheese etc during foot & mouth? Having had 2 teenagers at the time I don't recall any shortage of cow juice, in fact I thought it had impacted meat, bacon & sausages and not dairy.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I've got borage Karmacat and it's gorgeous but nothing like 4ft high. I just love it.

I did once make almond milk but it was a lot of faff, even with a food processor. You end up with a lot of almond meal that is hard to use up and it goes off pretty quickly too. I'm not sure almonds are especially good for the environment as they need a lot of water. I think oatmilk might be easier to make and use up the meal though - and, i believe, is the best plant milk environmentally.
I buy oatley barista long life, it has a great shelf life and is perfect in tea and coffee and on cereal (it should be as i only eat oats! 😂😂).
I'm afraid that, although i eat little meat, I couldn't actually be vegan either, for the same reasons taff..I wanna be in the room where it happens14
