Thriftygifty, might it be possible to use some large jars with the sprung lids and rubber seals? I have one of a 3 litre capacity, bought 2nd hand, so they do come quite big. A pal who has an ancient cottage rather prone to little insect visitors swears by such jars. HTH.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

Just managed to find a picture online of those cheapo Indian storage jars. It's the one captioned "Food Storage" on this page ... https://jeremyshomestore.co.uk/product-category/kitchen/

Oh hadn't even thought of parcel tape! I really like the oxo storage boxes but they are so expensive, I shall have a look in the cheap shops if I venture there. Wilko is off my list of places to go, went in for 30s and left, they had blocked the end of aisles off with large metal cages so made multiple dead ends where you had no choice but to pass the other people in close proximity wont be going there again, fortunately it was quiet. I've also been to the doctors 3 times in the last 7 days with baby, he has a wheeze it could be asthma, hayfever or viral but I have been so careful although I do have a sore throat.12
