The meal worms would have been raised commercially and were dead and dried before they ever went into the container so, if it was washed properly, I'd go for it. When I'm buying food containers, I wash them thoroughtly, then soak them in sterilising tablet solution, belt & braces sort of approach.

Bought a packet of reusable masks from Aldi but didn't notice they come in different sizes. I'd picked up large which are a bit big. They are pink so can't palm them off on DH.15

I dare you, annieb64. It takes a real man to go out wearing pink. My OH used to be very fond of a pink shirt. One life - your life - live it!16

I've a charming mask with a Miffy print if he's being stubborn?

I think I might just try washing them and see if they shrink.13

I made a child's one in a very colourful 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' print at the weekend for a friend's son. I wasn't sure how it would look all made up, but I really like it! I showed it to my Mum, and she wanted one too but decided against it as she thought my Dad might disown her if she wore it out in public! hahaI'm really pleased with the pattern I have now settled on, together with the elastic I have selected, and the nose bridge wires. It's a combo I like, and that friends and family find comfortable and fits well. Importantly, even though it was a free pattern, it came in three sizes - Adult, Small Adult/Teen and Child. The small adult was perfect for a friend of mine who has a smaller face. She works as a children's cancer nurse, so she was given various ones during lockdown from volunteer stitches but they were all too big for her really. So I am glad that I have found something that fits her. What I do need to do, is make a template for a large adult as the 'adult' size is too small for DH & my dad. Then I should be all set.February wins: Theatre tickets13

I had to wear a mask for the first time today for a visit to the optician and it wasn't uncomfortable other than being a bit warm but it wouldn't stay on, my ears are the wrong shape and the elastics kept pinging off no matter what I did. It was really annoying but luckily the optician had a sense of humour and thought it was hilarious saying sadly they didn't do ears only eyes or he'd be able to fix it! I'm going to have to find a mask that has a fastening that goes round the back of my head rather than relying on elastics that go over my ears. I've seen one that might work on Amazon that has a velcro strap that goes right round and fastens on the left hand side behind the ear. Anyone else having this problem and found a mask that stays on?12

Oh, and I meant to say. I noticed earlier that Mr T's is offering their delivery saver passes again, to a limited number of new customers. £7.99 a month for all deliveries over £40. You can see slots 4 weeks in advance, rather than 3, and you get priority slots at Christmas and Easter. I have signed up as we have found their deliveries to be best lately (in terms of stock etc).
