From his previous posts I believe he was fighting a brain tumour and it may be that his treatment has made him too poorly to be able to post, I think he said he was going for assessment so perhaps he is being treated at the moment. I hope too that all is OK.12

I thought you must have made the decision Thrifty, glad small mannie has now got a name of his own xxx.
This afternoon I'm going to sit down and make a two week winter menu plan for this coming season and then work out quantities of stock I will need to feed us for that period. I always have invested extra housekeeping into 'futures' as I've said many times but this year, given the circumstances currently lived under I'm going to start early for next winter and even if I can only put in tins of things, at least I know they are available now to buy. I'm going to get the wartime books out as the recipes in them despite being repetitive are tasty and nutritionally sound and the quantities of ingredients used will be less than modern recipes. Anything I can make from home produce and store will be added bonus and give us variety of tastes which might be a morale boost in what might be hard times indeed.

Looks like the limit has been lifted on a lot of stuff for Tesco delivery, nice to be able to order 14 trays of the furry owners food, rather than the 3 it was,she is a fussy fur, but as a senior kitty she knows what she likes.£71.93/ £180.0011

Lots of posts about hunting down bread flour, in London i haven't seen any since lockdown began. I already had a couple of bags in stock and thought they would get used up quickly, but i haven't actually had to open them because the shops have always had plenty of bread every time I've gone shopping. Have other people had trouble buying loaves?11

In the first few weeks of the lock down everything was a bit short and difficult to obtain including bread but that's because everyone was a bit out of their comfort zones and buying in a bit more than usual for securitys sake. The supply chain here seems to be relatively normal, there are odd things that aren't available every time we do a delivery order, this week it's flour, pudding rice, evaporated milk but bread is back in the local shops and the supermarkets. bread flour however is another thing entirely and luckily the pub landlord here who has set up his box scheme for the village has managed to get some 1 1/2 kg bags of bread flour from the wholesaler and this week we got a couple for DD1 who had run out.11
