If soap and water are meant to kill the virus then hopefully boiling will too so the veggies should be ok. Hand washing is recommended after touching anything, so maybe taking the prepackaged stuff out and disposing of that. I must admit I’m not sure about the fruit and salad stuff because if you use soap and water they could taste. If anyone is more knowledgeable please help.I hope I’ve been some helpNot sure if the link works but it's an excellent video about sanitizing groceries
Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

I’ve just noticed a useful article on the bbc news website reality check bit about supermarket shopping and dealing with packaging and fresh stuff. Sorry I don’t know how to copy and put on here but it might be worth a look.

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?11 -
To my wry amusement, middleson showed signs of “getting” prepping. Sent into the supermarket (clutching a list & my bank card), he added a bag of porridge oats! As with all behavioural training, I praised him thoroughly, whilst diverting his eyes from the corner where there are two boxes & a bag of oats (different suppliers/treatments)!

I love raw porridge oats with cold milk and maybe some grated apple or a spoon of golden syrup. I want some now!11 -
Ive discovered a multitude of small local companies delivering/collect from their store front, I hope this continues throughout this. Our local bakery is selling flour and yeast etc and sharing pictures of peoples home bakes which is really generous of them I thought as they could have just kept the flour for themselves.
DH and I have a new silly daily game that we play, lets guess how many are in the queue on Boots.com we like to check then log off it so we arent actually in the queue holding up a space.12 -
Greenglockenspiel said:I’m a vegan and I’ve heard that others have been having similar issues to the lack of GF products, with people buying up the veggie sausages and soya milk etc. Fortunately I had a number of cartons of oat milk and bags of pulses in my cupboards anyway but we haven’t been able to get hazelnut or cashew milk since this all started. When I went to Mr T on Sunday they had plenty of chilled vegan alternatives (sausages, yoghurts etc) - they actually had plenty of most fresh items, but no beans of any sort. The only thing left in the beans/rice aisle was a few tins of quinoa - my neighbourhood isn’t the quinoa-eating demographic!
We’ve just used our lunch break to go to the allotment for our daily exercise and enjoy the sun. It was much less busy than at the weekend and they’d added sanitiser to the gate so you could sanitise before and after unlocking it. My boss said today that he was supportive of people working flexibly to be able to get their exercise during the daytime, so I might go down again at another lunchtime in the week.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,12010 -
