Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.

Stay safe, Mrs LW. We went to our allotment on Saturday and it was the busiest I’ve ever seen it too, but fortunately for us neither of our plot neighbours were there so we didn’t have to get within 2m of anyone.Original mortgage free date: November 2044Current mortgage free date: November 2038Chipping away...11

Oh heck Mrs LW! That is scary! Glad you are taking extra precautions. Stay safe xx
We had an ambulance come down our road last Thurs or Friday, with blues and twos. I don't know who it was for, they went round the corner and it went quiet, so must be nearby. I checked with the neighbours I do know, and they are all OK.
Working from home. Popped to postbox with DD at lunch to post a few birthday cards, and then into the garden for 15 minutes or so.
Cancelled Disney this morning. Spent 2.5 hours on hold, but done now and money should be with me in 2 weeks. Cancelled the gatwick premier inn for the night before, and the gatwick parking. So should get that money back soon. Only thing left is the flights, which we can't do anything about until the FCO advice covers our dates. But we have now made the decision that even if travel was allowed, we'd forfeit that money and not go.

I heard that at one allotment they had a rota drawn up with no more than 5 people on the allotment site at one time and not on adjoining plots. Sounded a great idea but it takes everyone agreeing it and being responsible.
On a personal note I have just been told by my doctor that I need another week off work. I am already 10 days into this. I feel pretty much back to normal when resting apart from heavy aching lungs and reduced lung capacity. I tried to do a bit in the greenhouse yesterday after spending over a week in bed and I really struggled last night. It is really a nasty virus and has completely wiped me out but thankfully I am over the worst.
Please everyone stay safe. It makes me so sad that people are treating this as a opportunity to take a vacation in parts of the country that don't have the healthcare capacity. Snowdon is always busy with narrow paths so what were all those people thinking doing it on the weekend!?!16 -

I called my GP this morning as my temperature still wasn't down after 3 weeks of symptoms. Was quite happy with a week's sick note as she felt rest would help. Then got a call back to say I need to go in at 4pm - side door, phone to let them know you're there, GP in full PPE, into the isolation room. Not looking forward to it. Plus I wanted a nap this afternoon and I need to stay awake now...15

So long as they set the example first, I'm OK with that. And shut in the Houses of Parliament doesn't cut it.

If the laws are broken we should make them stricter? Just enforce the existing ones, surely?
