Floss the lads do see we're up against it & the noodles are the filler under the flavorsome stuff, just they have rapidly emptying spaces down to the toenails it seems. I have groused it would be easier if they could be fed using a shovel, but both coal & hay are expensive too!10 -
Using preps... I was going through my cloths in the cupboard and noticed a few were getting rather ragged (after a wash I then use them for cleaning up when I paint). Rather than buy new ones I looked through my household/garden/craft stash preps and found some jute twine so looked up some ideas and cobbled a couple together using square knots. They work pretty well, especially for scrubbing tougher bits and cost me nothing as I already had the materials (though if bought new the amount of twine probably would cost 20p for two) plus half an hour of look up ideas and making them.

Small victory today. Car insurance renewal £256. DH said to just let it auto renew as it was less than last year, but that didn't sit right with me, so I rang up, asked nicely if that was their best offer and immediately was offered exactly the same terms for £239. Better in my pocket etc...😁2025 Fashion on the ration

Afternoon All,
Steadily sorting my way through the house on a declutter at the minute because Im looking into moving food items and preps to other areas of the house as they are taking up space in the kitchen and I need to cupboard space for dishes to be honest.
Currently looking into a rain catchment system for the garden to try and save us a bit on water since Wales gets plenty of rainfall usually.
Garden is starting to produce and had my first small harvest of peas and carrots yesterday so will put that with pork I had frozen tonight to make a nice dinner.
Thinking next year I really need to look into expanding my growing with tubs etc as I seem to have done well with them this year and maybe making my beds a bit deeper. But it has been very theraputic and rewarding plus I need to really get the hand of succession planting!
Time to find me again14 -
Nitrile gloves can be used in a variety of settings such as hospitals, construction sites, and chemical labs. They are made out of synthetic material alluded to mimic latex and provide a thinner feel to your hands. Nitrile gloves are slowly becoming the standard pick-up at supermarkets due to their hypoallergenic quality.

It is looking rather toasty, isn't it? At least with my dodgy leg I can't get hot by going anywhere! We've taken fans out of the loft, worked out what windows to open/close (though when it gets about 32C the windows will all be shut as the house will be cooler than outdoors), and made ice cubes and bought a pack of ice lollies for £1. Also planned simple dinners which will only use air fryer or grill and salad.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3654

I have a trug into which I can dump any garment I don't mind wearing damp & letting the water evaporate. I will not combine this with a fan as I do not want hypothermia (this may change at 25 & climbing), but I have swapped in my Large Tea mug.
Food will be largely quiche, pate & cheese on crackers. With the occasional icecream for a reward for enduring another 6 hours.5
