Hermes Forged My Signature?

Hi had a parcel delivered by Hermes & wasn't asked for a signature yet on checking tracking the delivery man had signed my signature stating parcel had been signed for by the customer? I have also had problems with the same driver not ringing the doorbell, not leaving a calling card & just leaving parcels around the garden. Any advice on complaining?

Thx

Don't bother complaining to HermesIt will be ignored.

You could complain to the sender - he may or may not be interested.

I have had a tracking say 'left in porch.' I do not have a porch and was handed the parcel through the front door.

I have also tracking say 'left in shed'. No card was left but the email may now replace a card.

This morning I received an email saying Hermes had successfully delivered a parcel.

Before I could click on the tracking link there was a knock at the door and there was the Hermes delivery driver with my parcel.

No signature asked for but tracking says 'signed for by customer'.

The driver obviously updated the system before he got out of the van.

As long as I have my parcel I can't be bothered to waste time complaining.

Companies use Hermes because they are cheap.

Drivers are paid pence for each parcel delivered so don't want to waste time waiting for signatures.

You don't know they have though, they could have been reprimanded due to other complaints, or put through the ringer, you just don't know and never will know.
  • What is your complaint?

    Was your parcel delivered?

So your parcel was delivered successfully but then the driver later realised he needed a signature so rather than drive all the way back to you he simply scrawled a signature instead. Is that such a problem!

Actually, if you read the OP it says that the driver signed for the delivery BEFORE even coming to the door to attempt delivery.

They were probably facing an impossible time limit in which to deliver. However if they keep doing it they will come unstuck at some point.

The only answer to this is to not use companies that use hermes if you do not like them (which is very area and deliverer related). But no (OP), you won't do that and expect some sort of complaint to work.

Possibly the affect of Black Friday and a hugely increased workload. Amazon Logistics are usually faultless in delivering to me but they've been dire in the last two days. Yesterday I came home to a huge box (coffee machine) on my front doorstep in clear view - both neighbours were home. Today I only realised I had had a delivery (no card left) when I checked online and saw that it had been delivered to my garden, ie chucked over my locked gate and sat in the rain for 4 hours - again, the neighbours were at home. Chucking over the gate is what Hermes usually do.

Presumably, you ordered something from a company, and your order (contract) included delivery.

So if you want to complain about the quality of the delivery, complain to the company you ordered from.

If they get lots of complaints about delivery from dissatisfied customers, maybe they'll consider using a different delivery company.

Did he, where was that? All I read was that the parcel was delivered without asking for a signature then the OP checked the tracking and saw it had been signed by the driver, it never said anything about checking the tracking details BEFORE he received the parcel.
