 good morning, Oldstylers - dry morning, at the moment, here on Merseyside with clear views over towards Liverpool ...................... hope it stays this way for the rest of the day.

Nelski - thanks for starting the thread today. Sorry to hear you had another lousy night's sleep, but hoping that today's group goes well for you.
bellabella - have a great trip to Vega$ .................. don't forget that the object is to come home with MORE MONEY than you arrived with ;) :j.
tru - sounds like you're definitely getting into the Christmas mood now. All my Christmassy stuff is still in the lidded boxes that are on top of the wardrobe in spare room - they should be in good condition as I wrapped them well back in January :D.
camelot - I'm another who got a sore arm from the flu jab this year .................... never happened before :(. Hope the roadworks are soon over for youl
nmlc - well done on the half pound loss at fat club - great result as you weren't expecting to have lost :T!
ScarletRibbons - I think I'd be settling for Christmas Shopping in a covered environment, though it's such a shame when we'd all prefer our High Streets to be surviving better than they are doing :(. Shame about the curry - but at least yours was far more edible than one that I once made ..................... OH still talks about the Chicken Curry that only got eaten by Seagulls in Scotland ;).
silver-oldie - I'm sorry that you're the only people to visit your DM :(. I worked in a Residential Home for a number of years and we some residents who were in a similar position - some got no visitors whatsoever . Sounds like you say - an attention thing, with her.
TA - enjoy your trip to Skipton. Not been there for years - it used to be a regular day out for my tenants when I was still working. I used to leave them to get on with their shopping and I'd sit on a seat up by the Church keeping an eye on what they were getting up to. Treat of the day was always 'Ginger Icecream' from a tiny cafe down one of the sidestreets close to the Car Park ;)! Sounds like your DGD's are turning into proper little performers :j.
Bozwood - hope Fifi improves soon - could be a good idea to feed her separately if the others are taking her food. Our cat used to do that to our dog ..................... poor Sandy didn't get a look-in ;).
redruby - enjoy your day in work and your meal with DD and B/f this evening :).
ancientofdays - you are SO patient with your DS ......................... I'd be putting a rubbish basket over his head by now ;)! Good Luck with the dinosaur clothes :rotfl:.
Gers - hope your stomach settles down soon :(. Be good to yourself - you're of absolutely no use at all to your DM if you also become unwell ((((HUGS)))).
Organza_Lace - ((((Gentle Hugs)))) and hope you're feeling better soon
dumpling - how kind of the lottery people to send you an email like that, but so sorry that it wasn't 'life-changing' for you :rotfl:. I've had £10 x 2 and £15 from P/code Lottery in the past few months, but STILL waiting for Jeff Brazier to come and 'ring my bell' ;)!!!!!
WeeMidgie - your Photobook for DD sounds fantastic and I'm sure she'll realise how much she's loved when she sees it :T.
LaineyT - wtg you on tackling your DSS - hope it has a lasting effect! Perhaps you could also have words with ancientofdays' DS ;).
Hard Up Hester - is you mammogram just the normal 'routine one'? If so, I think I'd be looking at postponing it till after the end of January ..................... could you have a chat with them about the chances of re-arranging. Obviously, I wouldn't consider that a possibility if you've had problems in that department :(.
Speky - Great to hear that you're getting out'n'about in Madchester - but c'mon, dear boy .............................. as a Liverpool Supporter, I just HAVE to question your sanity in going to a 'Mad U game' :rotfl:.
csarina - what a lousy day - ((((HGUS)))) for both of you. Good Luck with getting the AA and Blue Badge Form sorted out - make sure that you've got somebody experienced in form filling to help with the AA one, you need to make sure that you give very precise details of how much assistance is needed and how often.

Extra ((((HGUS)))) for anybody who needs them - just take one as often as required ;)!

I've got 'Nathan-sitting' on the agenda for today - will be leaving the flat in about half an hour - Oh Joy ;) !!!

Bible Study later this evening, so will just go straight from DD's to church for that - at least it's the same bus home and is only a few more stops along the road. 'Lovely friend' will give me a lift back home later :D.

Have a good day everybody - I'll pop back in again later to see what everybody has been up to - luv Ollie xxx

    Morning!
Was supposed to attend a training course this morning about building with a particular kind of brick, but that out of the question after I realised my arms were tired just showering. I'm a bit gutted to be honest, I was looking forward to that.
Made chilli instead yesterday and a spaghetti sauce, the chicken was ok, so I parcelled it and it went in the freezer. The mince had be to be used hence the change of culinary plan. Things last a lot longer in the fridge when it's winter, I have stuff that would usually be unusable lasting a couple of weeks longer..All thanks to the lack of heat in the lean to I expect.
The little prince has come in for a fuss, we;ve not had the back door open for a while so he hasn't been in :)
Got no plans again today, might see wht I can get online for Christmas.

Well, to all those not sleeping, maybe a group meditating session would help...or a group cocktail session...:) lol@AOD windfall and nature post. Also, yes, toy dinosaur vlothes, it's the latest thing!! :) have fun in the desert bella! look after yourself as well Gers. dumpling, i know I've said it before and at the risk of eaing annoying, please get yourself properly checked out. They could do a lot of stuff from the house....Hester, can you park him somewhere for the day? With a friend or at a day center type thing? ooo, get you speky! free tickets! csarina, sounds like a nightmare, it's just one thing after another!
Hope Wednesday is good for you all...

    Gers

Please make sure you take care of yourself as you sound run down, lots of warm drinks, keep the house cosy etc.

    TA

I have a superking as well and it felt very big and empty. I put a couple of pillows longways down the bed next to me (or a bolster) and it did seem to help a bit.

Dishwasher is on, a chicken is in the oven for tonight and a few presents are due to be delivered later today so will get them wrapped and labelled. Pleased that I managed to use my double up Nectar points and get some good deals from MSE etc. A wine deal is being delivered tomorrow and a bronze turkey etc is ordered for the 22nd of December. I also got a good deal on a case of craft beers for sil and DDs boyfriend/ partners. By getting so much bought or ordered early I should not have as much panic and expense next month.

I need to try to get a hairdresser appointment made, find an electrician for the kitchen lights and think about finally shortening and hemming the living room curtains. DDs have had a great idea that I handsew about nine Xmas stockings and sew names on them . Nice material has arrived so need to get round to that in the next week or so.

    Hugs to all

Morning all,its very gloomy here. DS and I took DGS to school but the traffic had got so bad on the way back on the main roads we diverted & took to the hills and got back at our usual time, with the added bonus of a scenic route and no crazy drivers :) One of our friends was on the doorstep as even DS1 had gone out, taking his car to have some modification done. DH said he would lend him a laser level so he thought he'd call.Luckily DH was only 5 mins away as it was in the van.I did feel a bit embarrased at the state of the house :o,I still haven't had chance to sort out the new toys etc that DGS got at the weekend, breakfast pots all over the worktop etc.
I've put the ham shank in the sc so looking forward to that later. The washing is ready to dry, then ironing :(,must make sure DGS school uniform is done ,his Mummy likes him to have a clean one every day.She sent me a text yesterday saying she's running out of socks and boxers for him.The trouble is his socks are so small they get lost in the general melee of blackness that are DH and DSons black socks, but I've already found 4 prs of boxers so will send them back tomorrow with him.
Perhaps time for a coffee before I start :rotfl:Sending good wishes to all xx

It's wet n windy here today .Am just chilling with a cuppa, then need to get moving, n go to see Mum.We're both hobbling with dodgy knees so might stay put there, or visit a couple of chazzers in her village .They're always full of ace stuff , from the minted locals ;)
NELSKI I'm ashamed to admit that my spiralizer, is still in it's box in the car, but will report back when I've trialled it :D
Am procrastinating about booking Zeus in for "the op!" He is literally a little ball of testosterone at the mo, n starting to boss Bonnie about :rotfl: I hate taking them to be done though :(
TA have a fab time in Skipton.I love it there, n need to go soon :D
    BELLA enjoy Vegas :D
Huggles to all the poorlies n peed offs xx:A

    Hello all
It's another really dark and wet day here. It looks so miserable outside :(
I had trouble dropping off last night but then slept till 10am, so on catch up again today. It's a good job I don't have to go to work anymore .
I have put the DW on and made a spag bol sauce ready for tea tonight. Dad has an open invitation for tea and as the weather is so dire, he may decide not to come over. It's fine either way.
I shall also endeavour to finish the ironing after lunch, only a couple of items left :j.
We have had the first trial of the new bed frame upstairs, the width is perfect but don't tell Mr Fix It :shhh:. So now he has gone back to the shed to cobble...... er make the upright bit and attach it somehow  . Not my problem, I'm just the inventor . It will soon be my turn though as I have to make the soft furnishings part, including the mattress . I shall be reusing part of the old stuff and recover it with fabric ( which has been sitting in a drawer waiting for a project.) Oh so MSE :T.
Right I must get some lunch and then attend to that ironing :(.

Sending healing vibes to the poorly ones and many hugs to those who are struggling or worried. I shall send out the Sandman tonight too !.
Thinking of Holly and Poppy hope you are both ok
Apologies if I have not mentioned anyone by name, I seem to have brain fog again :o.
    Take care all

    nan xx
PS. just read back and realised I hadn't wished Bella a happy holiday. Hope you enjoy your trip to Vegas.

TA, we were in Skipton this afternoon. I saw 3 women of a certain age walking up the High Street, I nearly called out "Is one of you Travelling Abuela" but thought the men in the little white coats might come and carry me off.
