Thanks all
I rang mum, and in a sad voice told her I had some news and wouldn't be able to pay her £100 a month anymore.
She got worried and said "Oh that doesn't sound good, whats wrong?"
Then I told her it was because I'd already transfered everything I owed into her bank. :rotfl:I'm evil
I have £17.50 to last until friday, but it's all my money now

No more NSDs here.
Did have a takeaway last night - but OH paid and we ate the leftovers for lunch today. Thoroughly enjoyable both times
Bought lovely local small-batch gelato today from a farm 5 mins away which makes it with their own milk. Totally unexpectedly bumped into my cousin and her OH there (who live miles away but were visiting because of a fb00k comment I'd made) - they came back here for a cuppa and catch up and it was lovely to see them both :TI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

Evening Turtles
Have tried to focus on success today but results have been mixed:p
Not a nsd as I bought bubble bath and squirty cream to finish two hampers, cooking bacon because it looked nice and lean which it doesn't always so NSDs are still 5/15
Paid £37 into my os mortgage account from eBay sales which are packaged ready to post tomorrow. Love extra money and getting clutter out of the door:D
Had a getting organised day - lunch and dinner ready for tomorrow as it's going to be manic:eek: Christmas cakes are covered in marzipan and icing but not decorated. Will try and finish off later this week. One is for us, one for my dad and four are gifts.
In terms of self care I had a lie in and then read for half an hour. I got out for a run in the sunshine - lovely
Today I am grateful for time at home to just potter, crisp sunny weather to run in, so much nicer than wind and rain!, Seeing my sister and family joining us for a simple but lovely dinner.
Have a good week one and all

Hi all:j
Quick post & run just to keep the momentum going...again before I fall into bed exhausted..
Woke up very early - with a migraine so got up, took meds, prepped some more food. Still was on the last minute for the party, but everyone seemed to enjoy it & ate lots of the food....so very worth while.
NSD again today so: 4/15 NSDs
Gratitudes today: That my 2 elderly uncles are still well enough to visit (both over 80), the food was appreciated, that the place wasn't perfect but good enough, that it's done for another year :rotfl:
Go Turtles!!!New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . Long haul DFW #145 : 2011 DEBTBUSTING : £5500 OD GONE, £2000 OD - GONE £93,610.30 cc & loan debt - GONE 27.6.14 FINALLY DEBT & MORTGAGE FREE :happyhear0 -
Debt-free date / Mortgage-free date / Savings target date. What’s yours? Currently August 2021 but hope to bring this forward quite a bit. Nothing paid today.
Organise your outgoings. Budget for the month. For e v e r y t h i n g. Write it down. And stick to it. Plan your meals – avoid waste. YNAB updated with budget for the month. Meal plan completed for this week. Stuck to meal plan again.
Count up to 15. Fifteen No Spend Days. Currently on 7/15. A NSD today
Refrain from browsing your phone when nothing else is going on for the duration of the challenge. Be present in the moment. Be okay with “boredom.” Shall do my best. No aimless browsing today.
What kind of month do you want for yourself? Take a moment and really ask. What activities do I want to enjoy? What seasonal foods do I want to take advantage of? What do I want to have the energy to take on? Where can I build more leisure into my week? How can I be outside as much as possible? I'd like to enjoy December and not feel exhausted by the time we get to the end of the year. Catch up with friends and family, spend time with OH Spent a lovely relaxing day with OH.
Here’s a space to make up your own rule for the month. Please share it! Home - make the most of the time I spend at home instead of just slumping on the sofa. Prepped food for tomorrow, made a few Christmas cards and wrapped a few presents.
Outings. Drop one. Decide which one, inform those who need to know and enjoy the time and money you have just given yourself. Decided to drop my work's Christmas do and feel very relieved for doing so.
Slow living this month. In a month of manicness, make a clear intention to keep your schedule and pace in check. Because, really, does anyone want a hectic December? This definitely fits in well with the kind of month I want.
Omm. Take care of your mental health. Do something every day this month that makes you feel good: gym, reading, time with family, favourite tv programme, meditation, building a snowman. NOT spending, of course!! Write down 4 gratitudes each day. Spending quality time with OH, yummy roast for tea, Christmas films and mulled wine.
No entry to any sales. Unless you have a planned budget and have been saving for a specific item PLEASE do not go to the Boxing Day Sales. Or any sales. Anywhere. It’s temptation you can’t handle to buy tat you really don’t need. STAY AT HOME! Likewise, no takeaways, canteen meals (unless free), coffee shop or corner shop visits. Ok. OH suggested getting a takeaway for tea but managed to dissuade him.
Candles - Switch to candles and firelight after dark (or the high-tech adjustable hue bulb equivalents). Love this rule and have a huge supply of candles to use up. Gingerbread candle burning this evening.
Chase down more awe and joy. Go after it with a purpose. Go and enjoy the sparkly lights. Take a tour of your neighbourhood to look at other people’s outdoor decorations – and be smug about how you are not wasting your money like that. Go and seek Santa’s sleigh in the sky on Christmas Eve. Will do.
Exercise. Get 10,000 steps a day (or set your own target). Move a little more. Embrace the outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. Aiming for 16 days exercise this month, currently on 4/16. 10,000 steps achieved :T. Went a walk around the park this morning with OH.
“Don’t give up. Not ever. Not for one single day. Be safe if you can be. But always be amazing.” Pop on here every day and tell us what you’re up to. Not just the good stuff, but also the bad and the ugly too. Will do my best. I'm here
Identify activities and people who drain you. Give yourself permission to take a break from them for 21 days (or as many days as possible) if you can. Just maybe this is a gift you should’ve given yourself a long time ago…? Unfortunately I can't quit my job just to get a break from people who drain me :rotfl: but will continue to avoid as much as possible. A day off today
Visit your local area. Find new footpaths, see where a road or path takes you. Explore new horizons. Boldly go where no one has gone before. Oops, mixing my sci-fi….! Will do.
Exterminate (see, we can learn from the DALEKS…) one bad habit from your life for the first 10 days. This is NOT about food. I shall be renouncing a particular game I play on my tablet that just sucks me in and takes hours of my time. And I have recently moved up a level, so it’s even harder to put down…! I shall not play a particular game on my tablet, not played for 9 days.
Remember that you are blessed. Count your blessings daily. Be grateful for what you have. And remember those that have less – donate money, food, non-perishables, blankets to a charity that you want to support. Relish life, one day at a time. Had a conversation with my dad over the weekend about various charities and have one in mind that I want to look into donating to. Have looked into it but still need to actually donate.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50

Apologies raphael I missed your dfd! Many congratulations
Some better gratitudes:
The NHS (says a lot about my weekend when you post that at midnight...and it's the least dramatic thing to have happened!)
For this challenge for inspiring me to start reading fiction before bed again. I actively look forward to this time now, and new library will help massively
For babybee having what she needs0 -
Wishing you well LavenderBee
Another NSD yesterday which brings me to 6/15. 10 1/2 working days until I have two weeks off. Just doing what I can to get through at the moment.0 -
So, you've given up a bad habit for 10 days now - :T - keep it going for another 10 please.
And you have today to consider adding in a positive thing to do for the next 10 days. Mine is to eat more veggies. I go through phases of eating plenty of them, and feeling good but then it slips. If I don't buy them, dh doesn't tend to, and then we don;t have them around to eat.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
