I'm not surprised Sports Direct gave you the brush off, they aren't the nicest of companies, and their owner will probably have a rake off clause in the contract knowing how greedy he is.
G24 don't like the decor of court rooms so it would be surprising if they met you in one, but if you keep begging for clemency they will just see sucker and keep up the pressure.
My advice is to keep calm and let it die down.0 -
They are citing CPS V Mr Stephen Thomas.
The Judge in that case obviously decided that his account was not plausible.
It is a situation where, on the balance of probabilities, there is absolutely no doubt that I should find and I do that this defendant was the driver of the vehicle on that day. This defendant has run, in respect of the issue of identity, a disingenuous issue.

This presumption has since been rubbished in court by serval judges.

And we're back. Or should i say that i'm back on behalf of my friend who is now really worried.
Some debt agency called DRP are threatening to take her to court. Now as you all know, G24 tried to charge her £100. This DRP lot have added and extra £60 just for the fun of handling it. Robbing !!!!!!!s eh? Anyway, who can offer me (on her behalf) advice from here?
Thanks in advance.

You seem not to have done much research on how these cases progress in the 4 months since your last visit here, otherwise you would know that your friend’s case has followed the totally predictable path almost every one goes down.
Time to make up for lost ground by reading the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4 which covers all debt collector issues and how to deal with them.
You have a further 5+ years to undertake ongoing research, before this all peters out. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I actually have read it on her behalf. The point that makes little sense on it, is at the beginning. QUOTE - THIS IS JUST A LETTER-CHAIN YOU GET IF YOU HAVE NOT APPEALED - UNQUOTE. She appealed (with my help) to G24. She again appealed to this DRP lot. Furthermore, what makes no sense, is they state on her letter "the time to challenge the charge has now expired" yet later in the letter, they state "What if you do not agree" and ask for further evidence! So in fact, as i see it, they are asking you to re-appeal and go round in silly circles! This is where the confusion lies. So, in essence, neither of us know which way to turn, even having read the sticky from top to toe.

So to conclude, sit, do nothing, sweat a bit, but don't panic because nothing will ever come of it... correct?

On the basis that ‘nothing has ever come’ of any G24 PCN in the past, then that’s a reasonable stance to take (although ‘sweat’ shouldn’t be part of it, and ‘panic’ - definitely not!).
No one can guarantee how things might move between now and 2024 (the 6 years they have to make a court claim), we can only advise on the facts as we understand things today. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Thanks for the information. Very VERY helpful of you. Again, i'd like to apologise for my lack of understanding. Believe me... Old and Baffled is NOT just a clever name. It's fact. I get stumped very easily, so maybe she (my friend) should have asked someone with more brains to help her! Anyway, if anything gets booked with a chap or lady in a wig, i'll be sure to let you know!
Most appreciated!
