When they are in control of an ambulance they are on call
    throughout their shift

Then that needs to change (or revert to how it was), a break is a break, you are off call and you should park properly if you are going for refreshments.

Even when taking a break, they are still on call ?

This one has been done to death a few months ago and not for this thread

I believe this was covered in para. 4 of my OP:

    4. Where validation of parking is required by entry of registration number into a terminal or machine, it must not be possible to enter an invalid registration number, or the registration number of a vehicle which is not physically present in the parking area.
That will only work if the camera (a) photographs the vehicle and then (b) records its registration correctly. Perhaps the PDT machine should have an "override" button called "ANPR not working".:)

So you're now asking If that is the case? You were quite definitive in your previous post and I'm saying it shouldn't be the case.

I wasn't the one who raised the suggestion, just trying to clarify from the poster what they meant and then you chimed in.

Has someone mentioned threatening and misleading information in correspondence from PPCs, DCAs, and Law Firms.

Especially inappropriate references to Beavis should be a reason for sanction, as should selective information about CCJs.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Your opinion ... not shared by most, no problem

What you don't think people should have proper breaks? You'll be suggesting we start sending children back up chimneys next.
  • If we must have ANPR then changes are needed

I understood that the software in ANPR cameras was designed for another purpose, to total the length of time a member of staff was on site. If this understanding is correct this software should be banned to prevent double dipping, there is sure to be a software that reads every in/out separately.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

    Never said anything like that.

Bargepole is asking for valid suggestions on this thread

I once stopped on a double yellow, while collecting an order from the local Chinese takeaway.

A liveried police car pulled up behind me, and two big fat coppers followed me into the shop, to order a load of sweet & sour pork and chow mien to stuff their faces with.

When I returned to the car, there was a PCN on the screen, but not on the police car.

I pointed out this inconsistency, and the fact that the police were not above the law, in my appeal to the Council. Their response was that police officers need to be near their vehicle at all times, as they may need to respond quickly to an emergency call.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
