She said that it cannot be returned in case I had played it already which Is impossible since any new game Is at least a 30 min install

    That's a really poor excuse.

I only buy NEW games that are sealed as only way to be sure they are haven't got finger marks over them.

Its good you got your money back.

    .

Having just spent years working in the returns department of a distributor for one of the big 4 I think you would be very surprised.

Pallet after pallet of boxes, games, cd's and dvd's returned from all over the country and passed to dozens of bored looking agency staff who were paid to assess the condition, peel off the faulty stickers, quick dust off then put them into new plastic cases if the original cases were cracked or marked, reseal, re-box in 25s and put back into stock to go back out the following day.

I can confirm what Swingaloo said, I worked with games for years in various companies and well, if you stick games & accessories in a box it's only a matter of time before some boxes get smashed & need replacing!

Install wise - turn off wifi to initially install the game, I think that most games try to install the base game & patches at the same time which tends to slow things down. (I personally don't notice as I almost always just let it install & do something else) With the size of most games these days though a hefty install time isn't unusual, even without the lunacy of forgetting there's 2 discs with the game as I did with RDR2....

Personally I back Asda here though, you bought the wrong game!
