Something is not right there, no way can you use that amount simply browsing. Playing graphic games and streaming video would.

yes, I have a t-mobile internet booster . Up until now my internet never run out and I had no idea how much I was using (if you are still on t-mobile, there is no way to check on EE) I've just got a new booster for another 6 months (£40) a couple of weeks ago and soon after my intern stopped working, I called them up and told me I had used all my allowance for that month and explained that I wouldn't be getting unlimited anymore and because t-mobile runs on 3g the service won't be as good..etc)
so that's why I'm looking at SIM only with large data

Just go into the phone settings and find your mobile data usage, it'll tell you which apps and services have used the most data.
  • Not all networks increase prices annually. SIM only on Three does not increase:
“Each May, your Monthly Charge will increase by an amount up to the January RPI rate (published each February), unless you're on a SIM plan.”

Plustnet doesn't give as much data that I need.

To be honest, I don't know where all the data goes. I don't download or watch videos and yet apparently I used about 3gb in a week an a half.

I use social media and webpages, news etc., email when I'm on the bus

I don't know about your bus company, but round here, First & Stagecoach both have free wi fi on board, you have to sign up

Then as suggested, change phone settings to wi fi for updates etc

The paltry allowance on First Manchester usually lasts for about a mile of reading the local newspaper. They won't even let me synchronise my Kindle app via their wi-fi.

I mean London buses, I take the bus to work and can take me an hour each way

I will double check that, I too find really odd using so much data when I don't download or watch videos unless I'm on wifi

No, I'm with Plusnet SIM only monthly, got a special Christmas Mates Rates £5 month offer last year.

Maybe worth keeping eyes open in case it's repeated?
