More fool you then.
Why tell the OP to turn it off though when, even by your own admission, it’s not always the case that turning it off gives greater fuel economy?0 -
Slowly this time: why. Quote. The . Euro. Regs? They don't relate to stop start.
The engine produces this much unburnt hydrocarbon per km on the test cycle.
How much does it produce idling for three minutes? And the 3 minutes thing? Couldn't disagree more.0 -
Fool how? My car is more effcient with the stop start off. That's finite. I tell the OP cos it could benefit her too- did that really need explain? Maybe go watch a YouTube video....
Well if it is (which it isn’t) then I’d recommend doing what your name suggests.
And I’ve watched plenty, thanks. And they all come to the same conclusion that stop/start gives greater fuel economy. :money:0 -
Of course they do.

no idea, does the test cycle comprise of idling? Still not sure of the relevance to stop start. There are no kms or emissions the whole time an engine is stopped and different engines will produce different levels with the regs being a maximum
I'm really not sure you could dig yourself a bigger hole faster with a JCB.0 -
Why not have a look up a bit, at the diagrams showing speed-versus-time across both test cycles?
why would I?Does it affect my stop start or help me saving money by not using it?
By George, I think he's got it!0
