Which laptop? (Argos)

Just to point out I would prefer a bigger size screen than the 11 inch type note books, plus want to preferably buy through Argos as I have a few vouchers to use too.

I need a new laptop as I use it for the following:

Browsing the internet
Research
Assignments for college
Typing documents and letters
Online banking
Email
Social media

Budget approx £250

Any recommendations please?

The O/P was specifically looking for an Argos deal though as they have vouchers.

Also, thats a chromebook, which is much more constrained than a laptop.

Just been reading discussion regarding "are chrome books laptops?" many think they are.

No way is a chromebook a laptop .
You can do a lot on a laptop with no internet connection.

Its running a mechanical drive which is going to make it slower than it needs to be. This may or may not be able to be upgraded to an SSD (probably can). The one i linked to has an SSD already but i guess it depends what the O/P wants and if they would feel up to maybe upgrading the HDD later.

Also that processor is significantly slower, so you've a slow mechanical driver and a slow processor.

I'd be going for 4GB RAM on a Chromebook, personally.
