anyone any suggestions , will buy used if replacement parts are available and reasonably priced

Laser , do you want scanner? duplex ? wifi is usually included these days, or ethernet or both. I have a Brother (and a sister too:D) been well reliable over 9 years old

I just want a single sided printer that can connect via usb (or ethernet) wireless is not wanted or needed and only to print single sheets , single sided

99.9% of jobs will be printing simple myhermes type labels , maybe 2 a week if that

NO LOCAL LIBRARY OR FACILITIES


budget would like to be £5 , but that will not happen

parcel sending , print my own label = £2.99 , no printer = £6-9

Samsung or Brother mono laser. I have a Samsung Xpress mono that has been a work horse for several years.

Do not go for an ink one, as the cartridges will keep drying out, or blocked printer heads due to evaporation.

The price looks OK, but most “home users” on here favour either a Brother or Samsung. OEM cartridges for my Samsung Xpress M2020 (old model) are about £15, the Samsung Xpress series cartridges contain the print drum too.

Check cartridge costs before buying any laser printer, as the initial cartridges are often only good for a few pages.
